A spotless, peaceful, adults-only site with welcoming staff. Generous, private pitches, many with hedges. Excellent, clean, warm facilities, even with washroom music! Great for walks and exploring villages/pubs. Some road noise noted. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Liked Spacious pitches with plenty of hedges for privacy, we'll maintained. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good WiFi. Walking distance to a pub and public transport.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Good location for visits to nearby villages and Colchester (NB. Brittania car park had excellent spaces for a large motorhome) Hospitable, friendly and cheerful managers. Large and private motorhome pitches in well treed surroundings. The pleasant walk to Polstead through the nearby Dollops woods on a very hot day, where a volunteer run community shop allowed us to replenish essential supplies.

Liked Lovely welcome, good area to visit.
Disliked Our pitch was very small, with tall hedges felt very enclosed.
We were next to the shower and toilet block along with the Motohome service point.
This made it quite nosie, along with an odour. We had a service shed and a fence at the back of our pitch, the fence needs painting. The site is having lodges put on it, the digger works for about hour after we arrived . Our side the site was looking very tired . Didn't find it relaxing.

Shame about the building works

Liked Been before really like the location , facilities lovely and clean , new managers very friendly and helpful
Disliked Unfortunately they were doing building works with digger this time , only told about it on arrival , we had booked several weeks earlier , think we should have been made aware of this prior to arrival then we could have decided if we wanted to continue or cancel and find somewhere else .
