What customers say
This well-kept, tranquil campsite gets high marks for its roomy sites, cleanliness, and friendly staff. It's a prime spot for exploring the Suffolk coast and Southwold. Families love the big play areas and open fields for kids. Glamping pods and shepherd's huts are comfy, though some found mattresses or Wi-Fi less than ideal. Expect occasional waits for limited showers/toilets during busy periods.

Great site, lots of space, good atmosphere
FHU grass campsite
Liked Clean and tidy toilets/showers most of the time.
Well stocked shop for essentials.
Friendly atmosphere on site.
Disliked Some people were very noisy in the neighbouring shepherds huts/glamping pods, some campers had to tell them to be quiet after 11pm.
Pitches were very bumpy though.

Nice viewed with lack of sleep and dissapointment
Shepherd's hut
Liked Area is nice and clean, nice walk around.
Disliked The beds in the Sheppard hut were quite uncomfortable. You could feel the metal frame underneath. It was impossible to sleep without an additional mattress on top. When we lodged a complaint, we were provided with two mattress toppers and a quilt; however, this did not enhance the comfort. My father even joked that prisoners have a more comfortable sleeping arrangement. We were informed that they are attempting to replace the toppers, but in my view, the beds need to be replaced entirely. Therefore, if you plan to travel here, make sure to bring an extra mattress, as even the beautiful views will not compensate for a lack of a good night's sleep.
