  • Peaceful Norfolk campsite with scenic lakes and streams
  • A 10-minute drive from the Blickling Estate; Mundesley 15 minutes
  • On-site natural fishing and tennis court available
With several lakes and streams spread around the 27 well-maintained acres on site, it’s all about the peaceful pace at Mill Farm Camping in scenic north-east Norfolk. From here, you’ll be well set to map out the way to many scenic places, including the Norfolk Broads (boat hire and watersports are ways to get out on the water here) or local seaside towns. The area around the small village of Felmingham, where this site is located, has lots of things to do itself, too. Depending on your mood, you could explore nearby coastal towns like Mundesley, Cromer and Sheringham, stroll 25 minutes down the road to the local pub or visit ornate country houses like the nearby Blickling Estate. Back at base, there are ample leisure opportunities for activities like natural fishing (although the site's waters are not maintained as a fishery) and tennis. Cyclists and walkers won't have to go far to get some exercise either, as Mill Farm Camping has very good access to the local network of north Norfolk footpaths and public rights of way. Facilities here include smart toilets and hot showers for ladies and gents, a washing-up area with hot running water and a chemical disposal point. Mill Farm Camping is also pet-friendly and welcomes dogs throughout the camping season.

Liked Beautiful spot with plenty of space. The kids loved hunting for frogs and toads around the water - definitely take a torch with you at night to avoid stepping on them because they're everywhere!

Also loved that we had a little tap with fresh drinking water on our pitch. This was super handy since the weather was so hot and the kids could get cold drinks whenever they liked instead of having to use semi-warm water from the bottle.

Showers were hot and clean. Always toilet roll and soap available.

Great base for exploring Cromer. Mundesley beach and Sea Palling beach were both lovely, and highly recommend west runton beach for rock pooling.

We had dinner one night at JR's diner which was incredible! Can't recommend enough and staff super friendly too. They also have bowling and a soft play.

Disliked I suppose the only downside I can think of is that you have to press the showers every ten seconds but I honestly didn't find it that much of an inconvenience!

Liked Great camp site! The facilities were good, clean and the tennis court was an added bonus. Our son and friends who we met all enjoyed fishing and caught lots of small fish. Lovely walks around the local area and the pub we went to on Sunday evening, The Goat Inn, served a delicious roast.

Disliked Not sure how often the bins get collected or emptied - they were becoming extremely full and some overflowing. Not a massive issue, as we were leaving the morning they were overflowing.

Liked Lovely site with a friendly welcome. Ample pitch size. Clean, fully working facilities. Free showers. Close to walking routes and interesting stuff. Quite inexpensive. Good WiFi.

Disliked Showers need button pressing after 10 seconds, extremely hot for that brief moment after freezing cold start. Road has a lot of huge pot holes.

Liked Beautiful site with lovely walks around the lakes and lots of wildlife and animals to see. The children loved going over the bridges too (the dog not so much!) The little tourist information hut with games and toys you can borrow and lots of information inside was a lovely addition and also the free Wifi was unexpected but very welcome. There's also a tennis court available with everything you need but we didn't use it. Great amenities aswell, the toilet/shower block was always clean and tidy. The pitches were a really good size so you didn't feel crammed in at all and there's lots of free space infront of the pitches so children can play without the worry of annoying other campers. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back again!

Disliked Not really a "dislike" but a small play area or a set of swings would have been an added bonus for the children but it didn't effect our stay at all.

Liked Beautiful site with generous pitch, great facilities and very friendly and accommodating owners. We enjoyed playing tennis and being next to the beck. Excellent location - rural and peaceful but within 10mins drive to shops, pretty towns and 15mins to the beach.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked This is a beautiful and very peaceful site, but also without pretention. We had a lovely friendly welcome. The toilet and shower facilities were plenty clean and well maintained, with plenty of hot water. There was decent washing up space as well, and a separate toilet block with a whole bunch of tourist information for the local area available.

Really appreciated the added extras, like basic tennis racquets available so we could use the court on site, and a selection of games available for rainy days (of which we did have a few).

Disliked Nothing really - we seemed to be there at peak wasp season but that's nobody's fault..!

Local attractions

For everything coastal, you’ll want to home in on Comer (20 minutes' drive). Whether it’s sticking to the sandy beaches, braving the surf or walks up on the Norfolk Coast Path, you’ll find plenty to do around the sea. All that water action isn’t just limited to the coast, though, as Wroxham (half an hour) is your go-to for boating in the Norfolk Broads. A little trip back in time is a good addition to any itinerary and as well as cycling and fishing on the grand Blickling Estate (10 minutes), you might want to pick up a heritage train trip on the Bure Valley Railway (10 minutes) or sniff around the Muckleburgh Military Collection (30 minutes) to see artefacts of old… or East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden (25 minutes) for all the scents of a sublime garden. And where else for some nostalgic-type moseying around? Mundesley (15 minutes) is a fine example of a traditional Victorian seaside village. Or, there are beach huts and the promenade at Sheringham (25 minutes) for another classic seaside outing.
