An aerial view of the holiday park

  • Peaceful clifftop holiday park on the North Norfolk coastline
  • Direct access to Norfolk Coast Path; Sheringham five minutes’ drive
  • Dog-friendly grass pitches; half an hour’s walk to the local pubs
With a spectacular location on the North Norfolk coast between Sheringham and Cromer, Beeston Regis Holiday Park is rightly nicknamed nicknamed ‘The King of the Clifftop View’. Set in 62 acres, the site’s two spacious touring and camping fields are indeed on the clifftop – and the majority have sea views. With ample space for parking, the level grass pitches in Church Field all have electric hook-ups, while Hay Field is designated a non-electric, tents-only meadow with the chance to select the pitch of your choice (subject to availability). Both fields are dog-friendly and the Norfolk Coast Path is easily accessible for walkies, while much of West Runton Beach (10 minutes’ walk) is open to dogs all year. You’re welcome to fire up your barbecue on site – buy stuff for the grill from the big supermarket in Sheringham (five minutes’ drive)… but if you’d rather someone else did the catering for you, there are a couple of pubs – both with beer gardens for warmer days – in West Runton (half an hour’s walk). And a final word: park amenities include a top-quality shower block with reliable hot water, washing-up sinks, a launderette service and Elsan point.

What customers say

This clifftop campsite offers spectacular ocean views & direct access to coastal trails, close to Sheringham & Cromer. Guests rave about the spotless, modern washrooms, roomy sites, and welcoming staff. On-site cafe & playground are big hits. Generally peaceful, though Wi-Fi can be spotty. Great for a chill getaway.

Hay Field primitive grass tent campsite (small)

Liked Great sea view from tent plot H3. Good, clean facilities and loved the cakes and tea from the piknik horsebox.

Disliked Not under control of the camp but the noise from the Boys Brigade camp next door was a dampener at night.

Hay Field primitive grass tent campsite (small)

Liked Easy to find and good ground for pitching tent

Disliked There is a lot wrong with this site. I was given pitch H21 which is at the very far end of the Hayfield area! This is a long way from the facilities which meant driving to the toilet/showers. I have a disability which was not considered on allocation.
The toilets and showers are dirty and constantly have wet floors - slipping hazard. I never used the showers as they were in a disgraceful state all the time.
The alleged “free wi-fi for all” does not work at the far end of the site.
There is no monitoring of noise levels and on both the nights I stayed it was well after midnight before the noise level lowered, let alone stopped. I paid to stay for 4 nights but was so exhausted after 2 that I left early, expensive 2 nights with little to no sleep and shabby facilities.
Pitches are too close together resulting in children running between tents, tripping over guy-ropes and generally causing disturbance.
Boys Brigade area next to the tent field - constant noise.
This site is not remotely peaceful and the “facilities” are inadequate. It seems that the site is more interested in static caravans and camper vans - no consideration for tents.

Hay Field primitive grass tent campsite (small)

Liked The view, the friendly and helpful staff, clean and well kept campsite. The clean showers and hot water, the lovely walk to sherringham, the nice big cat we all fell in love with.

Disliked The person who left their dog poo in the long grass next to our pitch that I ended up kneeling in while trying to put our tent up.

Hay Field primitive grass tent campsite (large)

Liked Location with sea views - Beautiful, access to footpaths to sea front
Clean toilets and showers
Good flat ground with fresh water taps.
Staff very friendly.
Freezer for ice packs, would be handy closer to the hay field

Disliked Bank holiday campers with music and late night partying. 22.00 curfew not enforced. Not the worst but bring your ear plugs
Wifi wouldn't work.
Be handy to have charging facilities - phones etc

Church Field powered grass campsite

Liked The views , location, good walking

Disliked Toilets could so with a proper good scrub the bowls are clean but the rest filthy.
Said the same thing last year only ever see the bloke mopping and wiping down no products on show. Do management actually check the facilities , really does let the place down.
Camp often and have to say worse for lack of cleanliness.
Might be an idea to buy some more cleaning product’s especially bleach and give it all a good scrub down and bring up to a better standard.

Church Field powered grass campsite

Liked We were very lucky with our pitch as we had a corner pitch. We were close to the play park, toilets and seafront. The pitches are a really nice size and it was so nice being a 10 minute walk away from the beach. It was so handy having a launderette and washing up station on site.

Disliked The toilets/showers were dirty

Local attractions

Keen walkers can be striding the Norfolk Coast Path within five minutes of putting on their boots. Shorter walks include the circular amble through beach woodland, heather and gorse at National Trust-owned West Runton and Beeston Regis Heath (35 minutes’ walk), which takes in Beacon Hill – one of the highest points in flat Norfolk – the relics of a former Roman camp and Stone Hill, with fine views to the North Sea. The animal-mad among you can get your fix at Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary (five minutes’ drive), where rescue alpacas, donkeys and goats join the stately Shire horses for cuddling and petting duty. You might also be lucky enough to spot grey seals on the sand spit at Blakeney National Nature Reserve (25 minutes), where you can also wander around the salt marshes looking for snipe, warblers and terns. Once a fishing village, coastal Sheringham (five minutes’ drive) has lots of indie shops to browse, along with a pebble beach with rock-pooling potential when the tide is out. Cromer (10 minutes) beckons with a long sandy sward, shows at the Pavilion Theatre on its Victorian pier and an artwork from Banksy’s ‘Great British Spraycation’ installation on one of the sea walls.
