What customers say

This clifftop campsite offers spectacular ocean views & direct access to coastal trails, close to Sheringham & Cromer. Guests rave about the spotless, modern washrooms, roomy sites, and welcoming staff. On-site cafe & playground are big hits. Generally peaceful, though Wi-Fi can be spotty. Great for a chill getaway.

Church Field powered grass campsite

Liked Friendly staff, great views with clean, well maintained toilets and facilities. Good laundry open 8am to 8pm. Excellent views of the sea (and the sunset from Beeston Bump). Easy to walk to Sheringham.

Disliked No specified area for disposal of grey water. We were given a lovely pitch overlooking the sea, however there is a (busy) public footpath in front of the site overlooking the sea, so the front pitches are not very private.

Church Field powered grass campsite

Liked Lovely Touring Campsite
We stayed for one night whilst touring North Norfolk. Lovely site in a great location on the cliff top with great views. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Toilets and showers were spacious, clean … plenty of hot water.
The plots were widely spaced apart so there was plenty of room.
Great walks along the clifftop in both direction and access down to the beach.
We had a great time and would highly recommend staying if touring North Norfolk

Hay Field primitive grass tent campsite (small)

Liked Good size pitch, friendly staff, toilets and showers were clean, didn't have to queue although they could do with more for busier times. Clean. Beautiful views. Lovely little food van on site. Lovely walks along the cliff close by.

Disliked Not their fault but the pitches by the cliff top can get very windy! WiFi didn't work but luckily not needed

Hay Field primitive grass tent campsite (large)

Liked We had an amazing stay. Facilities were clean and well kept. Added addition of the fantastic park which the children enjoyed. The views were beautiful and such a short costal walk to the beach. Campsite was quiet at all times which was fantastic considering we had small children. A thoroughly enjoyed holiday and already planning our return next year for longer!!!

Local attractions

Keen walkers can be striding the Norfolk Coast Path within five minutes of putting on their boots. Shorter walks include the circular amble through beach woodland, heather and gorse at National Trust-owned West Runton and Beeston Regis Heath (35 minutes’ walk), which takes in Beacon Hill – one of the highest points in flat Norfolk – the relics of a former Roman camp and Stone Hill, with fine views to the North Sea. The animal-mad among you can get your fix at Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary (five minutes’ drive), where rescue alpacas, donkeys and goats join the stately Shire horses for cuddling and petting duty. You might also be lucky enough to spot grey seals on the sand spit at Blakeney National Nature Reserve (25 minutes), where you can also wander around the salt marshes looking for snipe, warblers and terns. Once a fishing village, coastal Sheringham (five minutes’ drive) has lots of indie shops to browse, along with a pebble beach with rock-pooling potential when the tide is out. Cromer (10 minutes) beckons with a long sandy sward, shows at the Pavilion Theatre on its Victorian pier and an artwork from Banksy’s ‘Great British Spraycation’ installation on one of the sea walls.
