Primitive grass and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked: It has the setting of a wild camping site but the facilities of a more civilised site, with a flush toilet, warm shower, and an area for cleaning dishes. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and I was even visited by a very sweet cat! Overall for the price it's absolutely a campsite you should consider.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Friendly hosts, excellent hot water.
Beautiful location, 'wild camping' gives an unusual twist on traditional sites.
Disliked: Shower door is practically see through, leaving little privacy. An easy fix would be a sheet of stick on frosted plastic film. (my wife felt uncomfotable using the shower after discovering this)
Might be worth asking people not to use radios / music on site to keep the lovely peaceful nature of the site.

Liked: We had a truly wonderful time , one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. Everything was simple, surrounded by many trees and beautiful nature. It was truly special to wake up in such a stunning place.
Gary, the owner, was incredibly attentive and made us feel very much at home. We are deeply grateful, Gary, for your kindness and hospitality.
The shower was excellent, with lovely hot water — a real treat after a day outdoors. We sincerely hope to return one day.
Thank you for everything, Gary!

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: A more secluded stay with everything you need. It's not one of those 'car parks for tents' that are so common.
Has showers, toilet, and a sink with warm water for washing up, and a pub about 1.5 miles walk, nothing else required.
If you want a peaceful little stay in the woods, this is the place.

Liked: Peaceful location, surrounded by trees and all sorts of fauna. We were greeted by a friendly cat, loads of songbirds and a couple of badgers! Shower has good water pressure and the flushing toilet is very clean. It's very close to the river Avon and has some wonderful walks nearby. Gary is a most welcoming host and a talented sculptor! 10/10 would recommend

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: It's listed as a wild campsite but has all the utilities you would normally get a campsite. We could pick where to pitch and it was such a beautiful space. We had free access to the wood on site which made a huge difference. Gary was a wonderful host and a fascinating person to talk to. This is our new favourite campsite!
