Located within the three counties showground at the foot of the malvern hills

  • Large and well-located site in the foothills of the Malvern Hills
  • Five minutes' drive from Great Malvern and 25 minutes from Worcester
  • A mile and a half from a golf club and brewery
Roll up, roll up – come and admire this splendid site set against a backdrop of the Malvern Hills… As its name suggests, Three Counties Showground Campsite stretches over three counties: Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the A449, making it as simple as can be to get out to the footpaths and bridleways that link up the many scenic parts of the Malvern Hills. What's happening on site will depend largely on when you come – the showground's a popular venue for food festivals, county fairs, flower shows and the like, so check to see if there's anything that takes your fancy while booking in. If a dog show is on the schedule, there may also be lots of dogs staying on the site. (Please note your pitch booking does not give you access to any events – these need to be booked separately at the showground's own website). This family-friendly spot has toilets (including accessible ones) and free wifi so you can stay in touch while away on hol, and four-legged companions can join you on stays here. Barbecues are allowed (off the ground, please, so it can stay in show-worthy shape). There are lots of other food options in the local area, like the supermarkets and pubs in Great Malvern (five minutes’ drive) or the food stalls that spring up when a show’s in town.

Liked Good location for dog show at the show ground, clean facilities, George was great.

Disliked The noisy paragliders with engines that circled the site all evening and much of the following day. They were intrusively noisy and spoiled what would have been a lovely quiet evening.

Liked Watching the paraglider’s of an evening

Disliked We recently camped here, 2 adults and 3 children and we were really disappointed with our stay. This is such a basic campsite with no staff on site at all!
We came to realise that there was a dog show on and already knew it was a dog friendly campsite, we are dog lovers and have a dog of our own but on this occasion chose not to take our dog camping with us. The amount of dogs allowed on the campsite at once is ridiculous! When we first arrived we saw a dog attacking another dog. Due to the amount of dogs on site at one time (one family had 6 dogs in a tent with them!) we were woken up at around d 4:30am/5am each morning to the sound of dogs continuously howling, which lasted a couple of hours each morning! What was even worse was the state of toilet/shower block. Again, we understand that this is a dog friendly campsite but on two occasions there was women showering their dogs in the same cubicles we were using, leaving dog hair and dog treats all over the floors of the showers! There was no soap in the toilets the whole weekend and the counter around the sinks was covered in dirty water the whole weekend. The toilets and shower block were clearly not cleaned the whole weekend and there was nobody to report this to! Absolutely nothing for the children to do, the way the pitches are setup meant that there was nowhere for them to play. No atmosphere on site as honestly the most basic site we have ever stayed at. The amount of dogs on one field could have been avoided as there were many fields around and yet we were all crammed into the one field! Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as we have family in the area and visit quite frequently. Massive improvements needed!

Disliked Being put in a line of units that all had a number of dogs each.
We do not have a dog!!!
Field was very large, don’t know why we couldn’t have been on the opposite side, near the warden(?). or at least on the end of a line.

Perfect for my stay- friendly, clean and quiet.

Liked Warm welcome from security and George on arrival and fastest check in ever!

Spacious, flat pitch with beautiful views of Malvern hills.

Clean and spacious facilities with hot showers.

Easy footpath route to walk to Great Malvern but also lots of parking available at 50p/hr.

Good site. Beautiful area. Needs trees for shade. Friendly staff.

Liked George & Sharon the wardens were excellent, so helpful.
Obviously the scenery here is wonderful.
Toilets and showers were very clean

Disliked There is absolutely no shade, except in the morning, on the side of the field, next to the busy main road.
We come here at least once a year, but this time we had our peace horribly spoilt by several hours, every day, of our stay, by well over a dozen, incredibly loud microlites, being flown over the campsite. They did this every morning & evening, starting at 8 am on Sunday morning. We could hardly hear each other talking.
Many people staying here, were annoyed by this.

Liked Toilet block clean

Disliked It's a big wide field, no attempt to put in any hedging, plants, paths. Right next to road, no buffering from the locals drag racing.
Main entrance had been blocked off. No notice and had to come in through show ground as no one on gate.
No reception. No staff on site
Woken up by 3 van loads of men, presumably going out to work at 6.30am.
All the ambiance of a packet of scampi fries and a can of super value lager.
Didnt stay the second night

Local attractions

Small fry and grownups looking to splash around are five minutes' drive from a local leisure centre, where there's a wave machine, a full-size 25-metre pool and a waterslide. Other options on your doorstep include the well-regarded 18-hole Worcestershire Golf Club (five minutes' drive) and the Lakehouse Brewery, where you can pick up a box of local ales, book yourself onto a tour or stay for the whole day and brew your own batch. The marvels of the Malvern Hills – the highest bits of which are visible across the site – are also close at hand, with hikes up the Worcestershire Beacon (five minutes' drive then a half-hour walk) and the six-mile lap of the Eastnor Estate (15 minutes) being two popular picks. The architecturally inclined may well wish to make a pilgrimage to gorgeous Tewkesbury Abbey (20 minutes) or Worcester Cathedral (25 minutes) while they're here, or to the Brockhampton Estate (half an hour) for strolls around superb secular structures and 700 acres of woodland.
