  • A half-hour drive to Warwick Castle; 15 minutes to the Cotswolds
  • Shop, family bathroom and reception area for tourist information
If you’re drawn by the thought of waking up in glorious countryside, and hitting the hay in your cosy pod thoroughly chilled, you’re in luck. Bredon-Vale Caravan and Camping campsite is a peaceful spot near Evesham in Worcestershire, with wonderful views over Bredon Hill and the Malverns. Whether you’re overnighting on a longer journey or hanging around for a while to explore the Worcestershire countryside, everything on site is geared towards your relaxation. All you need to bring is a duvet, pillows and towels – pretty much everything else is ready and waiting for you. Useful bits and bobs in the wooden pods include a kettle, heater and electricity, plus a fridge to store goodies for grilling on the barbecue outside. There are lovely hot showers in the amenities block so you can revitalise after a day’s adventuring, as well as oodles of space in the family bathroom to clean up the kids. When Reception’s open (morning and evening), you can pick up essentials for those ‘oops’ moments, and fresh milk and bread daily. If you need a bit of inspo on how to spend your day, staff there have got plenty of ideas up their sleeves. As well as being surrounded by walks and cycle routes, the site is west-facing, so hopefully you can catch some amazing sunsets (pack the camera) – and thanks to the lack of light pollution in these parts, there are lots of star-gazing ops on clear nights too.

What customers say

Beautiful, peaceful, well-kept campsite with gorgeous views. Super clean washrooms. Friendly, helpful owners share local tips. Great base for exploring the Cotswolds/Stratford. Bus nearby. Minor notes: some road noise, spotty Wi-Fi.

Liked Spacious pitch

Disliked Noise from main road (motor bikes all night!), grumpy staff, no water supply on pitch, design of site means it can be a long walk to the loo/showers if you are the far end, which we were. No walks nearby from site for dog owners (the small space on site was inadequate).

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: This review is very out of place amongst our other reviews. We slept with the windows open this night but didn't hear the motor bikes you mention... None of our pitches are advertised as 'super pitch' or 'with water' and the walk to the toilet block is not something others mention as 'too far.' There were pitches closer to the toilets, that we could have swapped you to, if you had asked. All the walks from the site (we have 2 nature reserves in the village, the river Avon, Battlefield and Farm Shop walks as well as the popular Round Evesham walk) are on display in the information/freezer room and this is explained on your welcome sheet on arrival or in person - we are always around, or a text message away if you want any information. Our small dog walking area, where dogs can be off the lead is adequate for toilet stops or for a short morning walk. Our campsite was not for you, but others really appreciate it.

Liked The campsite is easily accessible. Friendly welcome. The sanitary facilities and water supply are clean and adequate; everything necessary is provided. The evenings and nights are quiet. We used the pitch for one night while heading north.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Clear demarcation between pitches by nice wilding boundaries. Picking blackberries to get a free jar of jam, excellent entertainment for the kids. Very quiet. Great little dog walking area. Clean wash area, toilets & shower room. Family cubical on key request.

Disliked We asked in advance and was accepted to be placed next door to our family members. When family members added an extra day to their stay they were moved to a pitch quite far from us. This was very annoying, meant us walking to and fro past other tent multiple times. Really detracted from the enjoyment of our holiday.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments about the feel of the site and the facilities available especially the family room. As you can imagine, the logistics of meeting everyone's requirements on a weekend where the site is completely full, is tricky and we did our best based on your requests - as you mention, the late addition of an extra night threw everything a bit. You are a larger group than we take - your booking broke our booking conditions, however we went that extra mile to make sure you could come and enjoy your time away. These booking conditions are there for a reason, as our site doesn't suit families coming together - it's just not designed for that and that is why you felt it wasn't right for you to come back to. There is plenty of space for free play for the children - again a playground would not suit our peaceful, relaxing site. Plenty of places for you to visit that do have this type of set up.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Natural site. Very clean facilities. Quite pricey for location but we needed an overnight on our journey home.

Disliked A lot of regulations and notices to read!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to do a review and we are pleased you enjoyed the facilities and feel of the site. As you were only stopping over for 1 night on your way to another location, you may not have discovered all the lovely things to do around us in Worcestershire or taken time to see the hard work we put in to manage our site to keep it peaceful, clean and well maintained. I'll take the 9/10 though - thank you.

Local attractions

Keen to hit the footpaths? The Blossom Trail (five minutes’ drive) has three routes, ranging from a leisurely family stroll to a more robust six-mile hike. More walks take in Iron Age remains at Kemerton Camp (25 minutes) on Bredon Hill, the Malvern Hills (40 minutes, for day-long yomps with serious views), and of course, the Cotswolds (15 minutes), where you can also cycle through delightful mellow-stone villages like Bourton-on-the-Water (35 minutes) and Broadway (15 minutes). If you love history, there is plenty to keep the family busy. For a spot of castle-bagging, kids can follow an interactive trail or dress up as medieval knights at Warwick Castle, and there’s a massive play area with zipwires and obstacle courses at Sudeley Castle (both 30 minutes). For a dose of serious culture, take in a play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon (20 minutes), or book seats at concerts and international film releases at Malvern Theatres (40 minutes).
