What customers say
This friendly, small campsite behind a village pub gets top marks for clean facilities (especially the new wet rooms) and welcoming staff. It’s great for village exploration, with pubs and country/canal walks nearby. Reviewers love the good value and peaceful vibe, despite occasional pub noise and limited hook-ups. Many want to return.

Liked Nice and peaceful village, and very quiet around the back of the pub on the camping /touring pitches.
Very clean facilities , toilet and shower are clean and looked after.
Pub is also nice too, popped in for a pint the other night and had a peaceful sit out the back in the beer garden.
Very accommodating for arriving late.
Disliked Nothing that i dislike, apart from bins being emptied at 6:00am.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The location was perfect, and the site was spotless. We were made welcome by all the staff, especially the land lady who had a fully booked site, managed to move things around so myself and two friends could camp close together, we had all booked at separately.
On top of all this, the pub is perfect. A proper old english pub with great food, beers and ales.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Although a small field, it was peaceful and the shower facilities were good and clean.
Not really much more to say
Disliked THE KAREN: felt unwelcome, checked upon constantly, she doesn’t like her own business as she stated from her own mouth. She couldn’t wait for the season to be over and expressed hostility.
She defo put the K in Karen

From the manager: We are sorry that you feel like this and had to use the term ‘Karen’ derogatory about a member of staff. The problem you had wasn’t addressed to us directly but shouted loudly across the field so that we could hear, then a member of your party came over to explain the situation, which we apologised for and then was only aware that the ‘mess’ we were tidying up was from your party. At no point were you checked up on or spoke to in a rude manner.
We do check the campsite on a daily basis to make sure it’s safe and tidy for all campers.
