What customers say
This tranquil countryside site boasts lovely views and a laid-back vibe. Reviewers rave about the welcoming hosts, spotless facilities (showers, washrooms), and handy extras like fridges and kettles. Farm animals and gardens add to the charm. While overwhelmingly positive, a few recent guests noted dog issues in tents, which management plans to address with signage.

Liked This place is magical. The grounds, position and facilities. It’s relaxed but also well run and you feel part of the place. Great chill zone inside for cold nights and ample kitchen and bathrooms. Plus it’s small so not crowded.
Disliked Yes. The dogs do run rampage- but the kids loved them and with a firm voice they go away- just put your food away.

For a peaceful relaxing camp not far from Louth a nice town 👍
Church Paddock primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Amazing pitch in a paddock by a small church a wonderful view of the wolds and its wildlife, from muntjac deer to red kites and hares and kestrels . Facilities are brilliant as it is used as an arts events venue and wedding venue . Susanna is a lovely host and we met her very friendly dog swallow who is charming. She gave us advice where to visit which was all good . Thanks for having us on your pretty site. We’ve camped on a lot of sites now and this is right up there in the top 5

Church Paddock primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Weve been before and loved the sight its so pretty and not over crowded so thats good.
Disliked Staff need to keep eye on toilet rolls in loos as ran out at one point.
The farm dogs are gorgeous but need to be kept an eye on, whilst very friendly we witnessed them going into tents and eating people's food.

Great site, we will be back.
Church Paddock primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The sites grounds are beautiful, the pitches are flat and the facilities are spot on.
The farm life on the site really made to the experience and there is no need to set an alarm as the peacocks will let you know when it’s time to get up. Very relaxed site minimal visibility from the management.
No WiFi and minimal 5g signal but this actually added to the experience as we were able to unplug as enjoy the site.
Disliked No dislikes from me, but be prepared as no shop just to pop to. Showers could do to drain better as to avoid trip hazards.

Great location and very nice campsite a shame about the scavengers.
Church Paddock primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is a very nice location, it's peaceful and has some beautiful scenery from the pitch. You get to pick your location you want to pitch.
Disliked Unfortunately, the owners' dogs were roaming free around the site, and after our day out, we came back to find the remainder of our food for that day and the following day had been eaten by one of these dogs breaking into our tent. This was also witnessed by us on the same day later in the evening when it broke into our tent for a second time.
This wasn't just us that experienced this, but multiple people camping also had the same problem. We spoke to the owner, who apologised and said he'd make sure they didn't do it again, but upon leaving the campsite the following morning, these dogs were roaming around again.

From the manager: I’m sorry about this.
I have now put up a sign to warn people about my Vizsla, Swallow, who’s got a very sweet temperament, but a strong nose and an even stronger appetite…..
She’s very good with people, but not very good at respecting their food supplies.
Equally I was away at a party and my mum was meant to be looking after the dog, but clearly wasn’t keeping an eye on it…
Beautiful site but very unhappy
Church Paddock primitive grass tent campsite
Liked What can I say everything I look for in a site.
Beautiful surroundings
All the sounds of the countryside.
Quite
Good and clean toilets and showers.
Good ground so that you can get your pegs in the ground.
Informal check in so no waiting around just find your spot that you like and pitch your tent.
After saying all of the nice things about the site REALLY REALLY unhappy wouldn't have been fair to score the site to low as it really is a beautiful place.
Disliked Would have preferred to be able to park my vehicle with my tent and not in a car park. But this is only a small thing for me not really a deal breaker.
DOGS.
I will not becoming to this site again on account that dogs where allowed to rome free on the site and pillage tents if unsupervised. I had all my food taken by the dogs . What makes it worse for me I found from some other very unhappy campers that these were the owner dogs.
I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. SHAME !!.

Liked Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful. Friendly and relaxed, facilities clean and thoughtfully done. Easy arrival & departure, wish I'd found it earlier in the season.
