  • Peaceful well-maintained site 10 minutes’ drive from Skegness beach
  • Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape 15 minutes’ drive
  • Dog-friendly pitches 10 minutes’ walk from pubs, a shop and station
Can’t choose between a stay in the Lincolnshire countryside or taking time out by the sea? No need to make any difficult decisions if you book in at Grange Farm Campsite. This peaceful, family-friendly site is set on a neatly landscaped plot 10 minutes’ drive from the beach at Skegness, and just 15 minutes from the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape. To pinpoint it exactly, the site is on the outskirts of Wainfleet All Saints, a historic market town that was once a busy port on Steeping River; today it has a healthy quota of pubs, cafés and takeaways as well as a convenience store all within 10 minutes’ walk of your pitch. Other local amenities include the railway station – handy if you prefer to travel on public transport – a bike-hire shop and a brewery open for tours and tastings. On site, the facilities extend to two well-equipped toilet and shower units plus a washing-up and food-prep area. Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on leads when at your pitch as there are cows in nearby fields. Whether you're bringing a dog or not, there’s a selection of decent walks in the locality, either along quiet lanes or the banks of the Steeping.

Liked Lovely quiet site, loads of room to pitch, shower blocks were clean with hot water and no queues etc no matter the time of day! We had a gorgeous family holiday with room for the kids to run and play without being in anyone's way.
Walking distance to the local village with shops/pubs etc and short drive to lots local attractions in the area.
We would definitely book again!

Powered grass campsite

Liked This is a great site, clean toilets and showers with hot water. Water points and lots of room. Close to the local pub, Co op and Train Station. Ten minutes from the beach. Good WiFi. Grass is cut and at a good length.

Disliked The only thing that I didn’t like was no booking in. We arrived late and had no idea where to go. Maybe in the booking confirmation this should be explained? You just find a space.

From the manager: Hello heather P.
Nice review thanks.
No Booking in, is on the website (just pitch up) but keep your distance to 6 metre from your neighbours

Could be a great site if bathrooms cleaned regularly

Liked Lovely first impression.
Large flat pitches
Nice and quiet
Good location

Disliked No greeting or instructions on arrival. Had to ask other guests where we should pitch.
Sink/shower wasn’t cleaned or bin emptied for the three days we stayed.
No sanitary bins.
The ladies ran out of toilet roll one evening so none overnight.
The shower tray didn’t drain properly so had to stand in dirty water.
There wasn’t a mat or anything outside the shower so a pool of water.
There are no hooks/towel holders in the bathrooms to hang anything on.
The cleaner confirmed that bathrooms only cleaned properly once a week, just checked and toilet roll topped up in between.

From the manager: Anonymous !!
Well just for the record, the toilet blocks are checked a minimum of twice a day, mopped and replenished. It would seem that people have been borrowing toilet rolls for other uses.
We will have to keep a sharper eye on things !!

Good clean site with clean (although limited) facilities.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Friendly and accommodating site manager who keeps a low profile but is ready to help when/if needed.
The (grass) pitches are a generous size, generally flat and well tended.
Wainfleet village is an easy short walk where you can find shops and pubs that serve food along with a couple of takeaways.

Disliked The number of toilets and showers is limiting during the morning “rush” and I imagine could be a problem during busy periods.

Powered grass campsite

Liked Nice quiet little site. Very tidy around the place. The number of shower facilities is low, so, may be a problem any time the site gets busy, but we were in a caravan, so no problem. All in all, good value.

Disliked The electrical supply must have a very low limit on the trip side of things. Has multiple resets of the trip switch, not a problem we usually have.

From the manager: Hello Wayne
Thanks for the quality review.
You’re the first to report problems with the trips, usually faulty appliances that cause trips.

Liked Great location, walking distance to amenities and the railway station. Site is clean, tidy and quiet. Toilets and showers are well looked after but could probably do with a couple more. Pitches are nice and level and well spaced. Owner is friendly.

Local attractions

The Lincolnshire coastline has much to offer, from the pleasure rides and sandy beach at Skegness (10 minutes’ drive) to the rescued seals at the Natureland Seal Sanctuary (15 minutes) or bracing strolls through the dunes at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (20 minutes). If that’s not enough to keep the kids happy, then they probably need a day on the rollercoasters at beachside Fantasy Island amusement park (25 minutes). Other family-friendly attractions include Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (15 minutes), where you can feed the cheerily coloured parrots and get up close to big cats. The speed freaks in your party might prefer watching stock car and banger racing at Skegness Raceway (20 minutes). There are numerous walking options in the gorgeous and undulating Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape (15 minutes), taking in gentle strolls around pretty market towns packed with antique shops like Louth (40 minutes) and Market Rasen (55 minutes), or following more strenuous routes along the long-distance Lindsey Trail or Viking Way. The region also offers more than 520 miles of cycling tracks – more than enough for even the keenest of bikers.
