What customers say
Great site with spacious spots, clean facilities & helpful staff. Perfect for Forest of Dean. Some noise from groups, occasional Wi-Fi/road issues. Playground better for older kids.

The site was well kept, the facilities were lovely and clean.
Power optional grass campsite
Liked We stayed during some bad weather (constant rain & wind), asked for a later leave time due to needing to have a dry tent and dry our groundsheet and they were more than accommodating. The staff were lovely and friendly, we had to move our trip a week later due to illness and once again hugely accommodating of this and was absolutely no hassle, along with our vehicle registration change.
First night the whole side had a power cut due to external factors and it was handled really well, someone came round each pitch to inform all guests and kept everyone as up to date as possible, emergency/security lights in the toilets were luckily on a separate circuit so you could still use the facilities as normal. Unfortunately the motion censored lights by the washing up weren't.
The location of the site is great. Right by Coleford, the Lidl was a 5 minute drive and the cycle centre was a 10 minute drive if that's what you're into.
Will definitely be retuning!
Disliked The only thing I would say that would be a downside is that there are no lights around the open areas of the site so walking to the facilities block when its dark isn't greta so definitely take lights with you.

Liked Beautiful site, toilet and shower block was immaculate. The receptionist was lovely and helpful. Good facilities ie laundry and washing up area, electric hookup and WiFi.
Disliked Would of liked a freezer to help with keeping ice blocks frozen for cool box as we were staying in a tent.

Wouldn’t recommend, especially if you have children.
Power optional grass campsite
Liked facilities were clean
Disliked When we arrived just after midday on a saturday, the reception was closed and the shop was not open. Contrary to the campsites website, we found in the evening there was a big party going on in the field behind us. Even worse there was a couple opposite who did not stop shouting until around midnight, they were obviously very drunk and we were unsure what to do when he walked around trying open peoples car doors and then openly urinated on the field. Not a nice environment and as there are no staff, literally nothing you can do about it. We left early purely due to the discomfort.
