Liked: Lovely site, really well maintained grounds with plenty of space to pitch. Toilet block was clean and well stocked with paper. On-site little shop was really handy, selling some local produce. Great play area for the kids and they loved the pigs! A great base for exploring the Peak District - would highly recommend.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Great hosts, shop and on site catering
Disliked: Showers weren’t great with no changing space or dry space or ability to clean down.
No adherence to space between tents in line with fire. No marked pitches.
Advertised no groups but everyone was in a group. Site was noisy with music playing all day until 10.30 and people sat in cars With engines running for over an hour at a time.

From the manager: Ouch thats a bit harsh ! Firstly we are a family site and welcome family groups, we just dont take young groups, and therefore the open fields works really well and most people like it that way, and it works really well for us. There is the correct space between tents and no fire issue. We have a strict no music policy after 10.30pm so from your review that was adhered too, and we cannot stop people listening to music during the day whilst sat out enjoying the sunshine, with family and friends having a bbq etc, isn't that what camping is about ? Not sure about engines running but if that was a problem then why not speak with me in reception that could easily have been sorted. The showers are an adequate size with room to change.
Im sorry this wasnt the site for you.
