Beautiful, peaceful, well-kept site with spacious, private spots. Owners' welcome and modern washrooms praised. Starlink Wi-Fi was hit-or-miss; improvements planned, including a shop. Watch for signage & dog walk area fixes.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay…
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this very quiet campsite, which is within a short drive of both Buxton and Bakewell.
Chatsworth House is well worth a visit and is around a 25-minute drive away. If you’re planning to go, it’s worth booking online in advance, as parking is then included with your booking. If you pay for entry at the gate, there is an additional £10 parking charge on top of the entrance fee for the House and Gardens.
We received a warm welcome on arrival from the owner/site attendant, which was a nice start to our stay. The pitches are spacious, with plenty of room between them, and are separated by attractive, well-maintained beech hedging.
A couple of things to be aware of: if you’re venturing out around the site at night, bring a torch as it can be quite dark. The Wi-Fi is also a little patchy and could do with some improvement. There isn’t currently a stocked shop on site, although I’m sure this is something that may be introduced in the near future.
Overall, we had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. We would happily return in the future and would recommend the site to anyone looking for a quiet base for exploring the Peak District.
Disliked Could do with some bins for waste disposal.
WI FI is adequate but needs improvement if having a connection is important to you?

From the manager: Thankyou for your lovely review. We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure that the shop will be stocked with quality goods. We are in the process of purchasing some bins for around the site.
We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Fantastic
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked I liked everything !
The site is beautiful and very well maintained. Large pitches which are separated by well established Laurel hedges so this makes your pitch quite private.
Showers were lovely and hot and the toilets were spotless.
Owners were lovely and really helpful.
Starlink wifi was a real bonus, signal was spot on for me. Didn't want to leave but
I'll be back soon.
Disliked Nothing.

Really lovely, quiet site. Newly acquired…
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Really lovely, quiet site. Newly acquired so owners were still getting things off the ground. Lovely modern/new toilets & showers but some of the doors didn’t have signage. WiFi was hit & miss and we couldn’t find any bins. Nothing in the onsite shop, yet! This site will be great when it’s fully up & running and would definitely return.
Disliked No where to walk the dog other than around the site.
Nothing in walking distance without walking on a busy road.

From the manager: Thankyou for your review, we are working very hard behind the scenes to make sure all these little things are sorted over the coming week. The on site shop is a working progress, we are hoping to have this up and running verry soon.
Sunny Fields
Immaculate and peaceful with fantastic toilet and shower facilities
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Site is amazing, really well kept with lovely grounds to walk in, including a large fishing pound to take in, so peaceful.
The toilets and showers are immaculate with great water pressure for a proper good shower.
The pitches are massive, and really private as hedged in. You can easily get a car, tourer, awning and still have some grass to sit on outside.
The best bit though is the welcome and hospitality of the wardens looking after the site. Both really nice and helpful.
Definitely a top site to return to.
Disliked The fact that we had to leave
