What customers say
This roomy campsite has awesome Peak District views & direct access to Lathkill Dale hikes. Reviewers loved the friendly, helpful owners, clean facilities (incl. new showers), & chill vibe. Great for families, groups, & solo travellers. Food trucks are a hit! Busy times might mean minor waits for facilities; some pitches are a bit of a trek to them.

From the manager: Hi unfortunately there was a 5 minute power cut at midnight on the Saturday night which caused one of the boilers to need resetting, once we did that on Sunday morning all was good and back to the temperature you had had for the previous three days. Thanks for your review and we hope you have a good day 😊

Great site, beautiful surroundings and lovely friendly owners.
Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Fantastic views, great proximity to the small town of Bakewell and Lathkil Dale walk. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again.
Disliked Not really a dislike, just a small grumble - the rules stated you could only use the sites own fire pits which cost £10 per stay and their logs, also £10 per stay. As we were only there for one night, it was expensive. Perhaps a daily rate for the firepit hire might have been fairer. I appreciate we didn't have to have a fire though and so it was our decision to purchase.

Disliked Not many electric pitches. Not many showers etc. It was OK when we were there, but I can imagine during the summer there might not be enough,
