Liked We loved the site. We had not planned to go there but had been having issues with our van so needed to stay around this area.
We lucked out. The pools are great, get very busy when hot, but to be expected. Much better to go in mornings.
Reception staff were super helpful. With euros for showers and to get info about a walk you can do to find gnomes and do fun activities. This would be lovely for kids to do. We also extended our stay by one day and that was not an issue.
The showers that have been commented on are warm and for one euro I got showered as well as my young daughter which was great.
We were on part of the site that had no pitch numbers but we loved it. There were lots of toilets spotted around inc main blocks. There are also washing sinks around too (but as mentioned you need to walk to those, not far mind)
The shop was good but we did not need to use.
There was an ice cream vending machine.
There are also motorhome pitches just outside of the site.
Cycle routes are great. We cycled to De Smaak! An ice cream parlour in Eersel. I can’t recommend this enough. Approx 25 min from site.
We also went to Grootmeer and cycled around the very dry lakes.
Our daughter liked the chickens and the deer.
Huge site to cycle around plenty of parks for kids. Wifi was ok.
Cleanest chemical disposal we have ever used.
Disliked I was a bit confused about recycling. Glass and plastic I totally understood, but drink cans I was unsure about, I asked some staff near bins and they pointed me to plastic bin so placed in there, but still was unsure. I really like to recycle when possible so maybe clearer signage in main languages would help.

From the manager: Dear Helen, thank you so much for your wonderful review and for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay, especially after your van troubles brought you unexpectedly to our area. It is great to read how much you and your family loved the pools, the cycling routes, the animals and the many play areas around the site. We are also very happy that our reception team could help you with shower tokens and information about the gnome walk, which is a favourite activity for many children. Lovely to hear that extending your stay was easy and made your visit even better. Thank you as well for your kind words about the showers, the toilets around the site and our chemical disposal point. We are glad these facilities worked well for you. We appreciate your comment about recycling. Clear signing is important and your feedback helps us improve this so it is easier for all guests to separate their waste correctly. It means a lot to us that you would recommend our campsite and consider visiting again. We would be very happy to welcome you back. Kind regards Team Eurocamping Vessem

Liked Second visit here. Booked one night. Asked to stay for two and they were really accommodating and we had a lovely pitch. Things seemed to be more updated crazy golf and we ended up using other toilets nearer golf and they great.
Pool great as it was last visit we also went to theme pack nearby.
Disliked Nothing really. Would have gone to local restaurant but not open when we were there.

Liked Things to do. Friendly reception, we’re given a sunny pitch for solar as requested. Pool was great. Only there one night.
Pitch was nice and flat.
Showers ok. Quiet at night once activities settled. Liked the river, the sound of running water was soothing. Washing dish area was good.
Disliked Lack of toilets when site is busy. There were queues in morning

Liked Size of pitches. For us having a skatepark very close was good. Nice cafes in town.
Wi-Fi was good
Fish washing area was great. Not push-in buttons and hot water. Not loads of toilets or showers so we did wait as a family at one point.
Very fast roundabout. Friendly staff. Lake accessibility.
Disliked Some pitches had lots of ants.
We rely on solar ideally and pitches at site not the best for sun light. Good ones had ants and others not level enough for pop top being flat.
Could not see grey waste point anywhere. There is a park up 12 mins away that has grey waster and over night parking.

Liked Location. Next to river that you can paddle board on. Public access to water outside of campsite and along where public parking is. Views were great. Little park on site with swings and table tennis which our family love. (We added oil to swing to make sure not noisy anymore.) publi park also outside of site with bbq’s. There’s a walk in woods to see ruins of old chateau and history around it.
Good cycle links but some tracks bumpy.
Could pick own plot.
Reception was spot on great English
Spoken and responded to question when booked online.
We stayed two nights instead of one. Toilet block ok, no toilet roll one day but then stocked up next day.
Wi fi spot on. Short walk to town. Can Cycle to Intermarche in next town. Again bumpy.
Reasonable price.
Disliked Grey water was hard to find but then found it behind reception building next to public toilets.

Liked The pool even though it was a walk from our spot on coast side of road at very far end was lovely. Ideal for kids. Heated and space around to relax. Toilet block near also. Location is good just off bridge. A great view looking back towards it. Easy access to cycle routes in many directions.
Showers ok. Toilets ok, as expected no toilet roll or seats.
Showers ok.
There is an aire next door.
Disliked Very tight road at top of site so issue if two vans in opposite directions but places to turn into where touring plots are. We were at far end near a mini fair area out of the site and bar but on a plus near a fab boulangerie and market access.

Liked The pool was good especially for daughter with Down syndrome as not too deep and stairs for slide easy to use. friendly welcome was great with clear info. Park and competitions that are held. Nice feel to campsite. We used this before heading to La Rochelle.
Disliked We had a 6m van and was a bit tight getting into pitch but apart from that spot on.

Liked Lovely little quiet site. Owners are brilliantly helpful and friendly.
Pitches as mentioned are super big and secluded. Water available in pitch, that is ok to drink. We did not need electric but we had the option even when not requested.
We ordered bread and croissants for morning which was brought to the van.
Kids went to see goats and birds, They were kindly given food to feed them.
Played on slide and swing. Walked to bins that offer recycling opportunities near entrance.
We were given a map of a walk or cycle to do that takes in local sites.
Would highly recommend this site.
Quiet and dark on nighttime. Toilets blocks and showers handy and good.
If you need WiFi you can get it near house. We had our roaming which was fine on pitch. I know this is not always the case so wanted to let people know.
Disliked We personally would have liked a table tennis area in or outside as son loves it.

Liked Transport into Paris is easy. We got cards from gate house to get bus from straight outside of campsite to train station we needed then off to the Olympics.
Easy to get into at reception friendly staff. Got complimentary gift bag.
Get key, as touring pitch has belt across it and your key unlocks it. Great idea, not seen before. Mind I forgot to take lock back as we locked pitch up.
We did not go along river but you are given code to open gate to cycle/ walk way.
Toilets and showers seemed to be mixed but ok. Great motorhome point near toilets. Great mix of nationalities staying.
Shop is useful and restaurant seemed reasonable but again we did not use.
Lots of table tennis tables which my lot were over the moon about.
Disliked Nothing to do with site but spotted someone cleaning their toilet cassette with clean water hose in motor home point which is so unhygienic. There is a tap at rosin point. Please campers take note people fill up motor homes with this water. Maybe signs should be added.

Liked Friendly host. Love layout of campsite not regimented. We stayed on way to Paris for the Olympics. We did consider staying longer and host was up to see if that was possible but we did book very close to Paris and already paid for. Showers toilets all fine. Found grey water on way to pool. Small but nice little pool that people used to cool off, and all ages.
We cycled to nearby skatepark which is an excellent facility. Water there and basketball, football options to. There is a nice bar area which we did not get chance to use.
Disliked We could not find elsan point which we would have used but waited until next stop anyway. Signs for these would be good as at time we looked we could not find people to ask.

Liked Could park in space we wanted. Mind when others did they went into our part of pitch. They moved following day.
Lovely next to river. There are some shaded pitch’s and some that get loads of sun.
Table tennis in building where reception is.
Staff friendly. Park is good.
Other facilities like tennis, volley ball etc good.
Good access to river done people were fishing but if you want a dip there is access behind pool.
10 min drive from plops coo theme park. Well worth visit and go to cheaper ticket site Tiqet.
Disliked Lots of wasps when we were there. No toilet roll in toilets so take some when you use them.
Pool has open hours and locals can use it too, but good to meet people.
Area we were at the Wi-Fi was poor but maybe as in a valley.

Liked Loved the location next to R Avon. What a gorgeous spot. Lots of people there but all spaced out. Great views across fields. On a working farm. Easy access to water and black waste. Lovely walks but we used as a stop off from returning from tunnel and before heading to Northumberland. Lovely people. Great communication.
Access to water with paddle boards but we just chilled even though we had them.
Disliked Not a real issue but good to mention for some small single road just before site, not many passing points.

Liked Small site but great pitches especially hard standing plenty of space. We had a hard sturdy hedge at the back which sheltered us from strong winds. There are lovely toilets three with three showers and a larger disabled one that could be used as a family room. There are bins that allow for recycling of rubbish. Shame people do not stick to it. Perhaps it could be split up more.
The site is easily within walking distance to fantasy island. We have two children and they managed it no bother. It’s also not far to beach. There is a tesco express nearby and also cooplands bakery.
There is a dog walking park on site.
Lovely quiet site. There are some paths and walks around near to site.
Disliked Weather was tricky while here after Easter break. Luckily we had a hard standing in even though often we are happy to go for a grass pitch. However the grass pitches ground was very soggy.
We arrived a little later that expected from Northumberland. A text had been sent with pitch number but it also said here is barrier number do we presumed this would let us in. It didn’t. We could not find barrier number but later found out we had been sent in e mail.
We came in a camper van crafter size and found that car parks further away from site had barriers which meant we could not park closer to the action. This was also the same for nearly all places in Skegness. We were able to park in supermarket car parks and actually found a car park that you can park in for £5 a day next to Lidl. Wish we knew about this. We missed trip to seal sanctuary due to parking.
Wi-Fi not the best.
Would have been nice for more kid activities but you have some much kid entertainment in area and only an issue if you have kids. Lots of people had bikes and scooters as great circular road to ride on.

Liked Great little site. Good size pitches. Games room which we were not expecting. Had pool table table tennis and air hockey. Pool table was on a wink but this added to the fun. Great walk less than a mile to 12 Apostles. We went with kids. Not a bad walk to co-op 15 mins away also post office. Washing machine and dryer. Good grey waste near reception but may not be as easy for bigger vans. Ours is 6m long. The site is gated and you get a key to open and close it later at night. Some good recycling. Games-room was nice and warm.
Disliked One toilet/ shower room is off the games room. It maybe better to have access with out going through games room as not best if people playing in games room.

Dog walking field, 10 mins drive away from Northallerton. 10 min walk. Size of pitch. Showers are great. Nice walks as part of site. Friendly staff.
Pub nearby in Otterington the Shorthorn Inn. We did not get to go as food only from Wednesdays until weekend.
Both kids play areas are great. Picnic spots near fishing ponds.
Disliked Not having a place to eat nearby on Monday or Tuesday night.
Train track nearby but that did not bother us. Trains not frequent as night draws in.
Signal not brilliant but Wi-Fi available on site.

Liked Great adventure park. The pitches were a great size all electric hook ups. Walled garden kept wind at bay. Very close to river. Great grounds to explore but we did not have chance to see a lot of it.
Good Elsan point and grey waste for motor homes.
Wi-Fi on EE and 3 network very good.
Disliked Pitches are first come first served which we were unsure about. But actually we really like the choice.
Toilets were available so maybe should say this.
Tv reception poor.

Liked Easy to get to. Great pitches with view down the field. Get sun in the evening which is nice. Lovely recycling area which is great wish more places did this, we could recycle our cans, glass and cardboard. But more than this on offer for recycling. Even a bin for dogs waste. Decided against fire as very cold so stayed inside awning or camper van. Great walks to Kirbymoorside. River was not dry so could it cross where wanted as explained on maps of local area that are provided. On added in photos. To be fair the walk in on road is good just a little bit with no path but not an issue even with our two kids.
We went for fish and chips at lemon tree which was lovely. Would recommend.
Son liked climbing around on stones we were in pitch 5 right next to stones. There is a gate (also shown in photos that takes you straight to path to go over dry river.)
Disliked Nothing

Liked Liked the showers. Loads of space as we were on grass pitch no hook up, so had space to chose from. Also there with two other camper vans so could pick own set up to which was ideal.
We like to have a campfire so used it one of three nights there. In our own pit we have. There is drinking water points not just two points near toilet as mentioned which I understand is not great if you have to boil but look towards corners of areas and you should find them.
There is a cafe that does a wide variety of food. Even says take away pizza. Not open on Monday.
Shop on site that has a lot to chose from, nice cheeses and ciders.
Loads of hot water for washing pots in block near toilets.
WiFi available at cafe but never used.
Around 10 mile away from Chester zoo and 1 mile from ice cream farm. We also visited Sainsbury’s that was 8 mile away.
Staff in cafe wee very accommodating.
There were a lot of wasps. But you can just make a sugary mix.
Disliked The male toilets are small. Washing pots is outside but you can wear a coat if it’s raining. Near a road so some road noise. We were really close to road and it was fine, most of site is further away.
Showers are affected by flush of toilets so be prepared for it to get hot if someone flushed when you are in.
