Powered grass site
Liked Nothing, the owner clearly doesn't care about offering a good service or caring about her customers.
Disliked The showers were dangerous, one was completely out of action and the other leaked through the door.
The floors had collapsed in both rooms and were propped up with plastic shower drying stands.
The bins were overflowing, really overflowing, with no option to put rubbish elsewhere, this is not an isolated incident, there must be a month's worth of rubbish and as you can imagine in the heat, flies were a major issue.
We never saw the owner once, she couldn't be bothered to pop over and check everything was ok, the fence has collapsed, it just looks a mess, again I have since read this is an ongoing issue, this is your business, sort it or pre warn customers.
The biggest issue is the owners dogs, 3 barking, not very friendly dogs, she would let them be outside at all hours, so when we arrived, they were barking constantly, when we used the toilet they barked and when we went to the toilet before bed at 10pm, they started, the owner never appeared once to stop them, their barking continued until 11pm, it was terrible. We were with our dog that doesn't make a noise, however if he was a barker, I am sure I would have been told off.
The pitches are spacious, however some have big dips like pitch 14, and we couldn't be on the left side of the field due to the major fly issue from the bins.
We stayed just 1 night then left, the owner never offered a refund, however she cancelled our booking after we left.
I am expecting backlash, but my review above is genuine l, will happily leave a great review when we get good service, but taking £150 for 5 nights on a substandard campsite is not acceptable and I will make sure people know to avoid here.
We moved to a site in Wainfleet, it was cheaper, better facilities and no barking dogs.

Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked I liked the pool being warm
I liked the padded pool (Very Novel)
I liked the hard standing pitches
I liked the location near the sea
I liked all the staff who were very friendly and helpful
I liked the great Sunday lunch
I liked my pitch neighbours (I was very lucky!!!)
I liked 16 amp electrics on pitch
I liked 4 nights for £90 on an electric hard standing pitch!!
If you enjoy very noisy holidays and like to let your kids run wild whilst you get drunk then you will LOVE this place, if you like a little bit of action but some quiet time then AVOID. Read my Tr*p A*visor reviews to see how trusted I am!!
Disliked I disliked the standard of the pool and the fact that the childrens pool equipment is broken (And according to a caravan owner on site had been broken a while)
I disliked the scalding hot water that was all that came out of the showers
I disliked the Coffee Republic that ran out of cakes for 2 days!
I disliked the lack of security on site, the broken barrier and lack of swipe cards
I disliked all the rugrat families around us on the camping and touring pitches.
I disliked the booming music from the bar at 1am coming through my caravan
I disliked the people around us not abiding by site rules and fighting at 1am
I disliked the fact that there is no safe access to the beach from the site
I disliked the fact that the place fails in every area on DDA appliance (Disability)
I disliked their accessible caravans are not actually accessible!.
I disliked no cold water in the complex taps for the 4 days we were there (Restaurant)
The site had a £4 million make over a few years ago but they are letting standards slip, the broken childrens pool, the dirty floor on water jets, the lack of insulation from noise in the bar was ridiculous, I should have pitched my caravan in the bar!!!

Electric grass pitch
Liked We liked the grass pitches, I am not a huge fan of hard standing, considering it is next to a main road the noise did not bother us at all and to be honest found the running water behind the pitches to be very relaxing but not at all safe for children.
Disliked The safety of the pitches for children as open access to water. The pitch locations as well were not suited to my import caravan which has the door on the wrong side, I had to park on pitch 1 but use pitch 2 electrics! (Not ideal when the site is full.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We have always left the growth on the riverbank to deter children from getting near the river. This year, people have requested that we cut this back to allow them to see the river and fish easier. We are in the process of doing this around some of our pitches, others will still be safe for children to play. We have had a few people in the same position as yourself with the caravan door on the opposite side to normal, we will always try and accommodate you by putting you on a pitch that allows this or between two, where the next one isn't being used.
