Very picturesque pitches that felt very private with hedges dividing the site up. Very convenient for Redruth, Truro and A30.
This was probably the nicest site we stayed on throughout our Cornwall trip.

Power optional grass campervan or tent site
Liked Lovely site with good level pitches. Facilities were first-rate and spotlessly clean. Lots of hot water, loo roll etc. Staff were friendly and all trackways and roads well-maintained. Very quiet and peaceful.
There are wildflower areas which were nice and there's clearly a lot of effort to make the site a pleasant place to be in this regard, with no attempt to overfill/crowd it. It felt very spacious.
Nice views. The site is actually in Paul, just above Mousehole and there's a lovely local pub called the Kings Arms just a 5-10 minute stroll away, along a good track way. Ask staff for directions. It's right opposite the local church with some ancient features. The food looked good, though we didn't eat and the hand-pumped beer was well-kept.
The potwash and shower facilities are accommodated in the nearby football team clubhouse and are big and spacious.
I spent the previous day in A & E in Truro and this was the perfect place to decompress from that.

Fully-serviced gravel caravan site
Liked Lovely site with good level pitches. Facilities were first-rate and spotlessly clean. A lot of thought had clearly been given to the showers, and plenty of space to keep your stuff dry, unlike some other sites with tiny cubicles. Lots of hot water, loo roll etc. Owner was friendly and all trackways and roads well-maintained. Very quiet and peaceful.
Very convenient for Penzance, especially for supermarkets for food and fuel. A pot was area would have been useful but this site caters really for motorhomes/campervans.

It was lovely to watch the chickens scratching about, especially the mother hens with little gaggles of chicks behind them. Convenient for the Lizard point and lovely coastal villages.
There was no significant road noise as some reviewers grumble about and if you're the kind of person who considers a site with hot showers, flush toilets, a wash up area, hookups and hard standing to be "very, very basic" then you should probably go to a five star hotel.

Poppy unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked Friendly owners. Nice facilities, and clean too. Everything worked! Very convenient for access to the river Bure for wild swimming, paddleboarding and boats. Plenty of space for all pitches and for kids to play. There are fields with alpacas, horses etc. too.
The showers have lights in but the loos don't so bring a headtorch for visits after dark! Convenient for attractive local villages, nature walks etc.

Liked Top quality, well-maintained facilities. All very clean. Level pitches, many with good views. Very convenient for Buxton. We arrived late and didn't meet any staff but we got everything we needed in the email beforehand so it was fine.
Disliked We couldn't get the wifi to work. None of the other guests we asked could get it to work either. The phones would say we had to login, but the login screen never loaded.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Fantastic site location with a great pub on site selling well-kept real ale and cider. The food looked nice but we didn't eat there. The site is small (only 5 or 6 van pitches) and very peaceful with a stream babbling through it. Clean; there is no litter.
Location is good for walking, Hay on Wye, associated aquatic sports and the Black Mountains. This is a "getting away from it all" kind of place which is just what we like.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The route to this site takes the visitor down some very narrow lanes.
Disliked The single wash up, handful of toilets and single shower facilities were fine when the site was occupied by just the camper vans. However, there is a field adjacent that is used for campers. The first night we were here, it was empty but on Friday and Saturday it began to fill up and it was not long before the toilet and washing facilities became over-whelmed. The ladies' loos were backing up, the wash up sink got blocked and the showers became dirty. While all facilities were cleaned daily, it didn't long before they were swamped again.
More facilities are needed if the field site is going to be used really.
