Bell tent
Liked The site is really close to 4 or 5 incredible beaches. It’s a very clean, tidy and pretty place with stunning views over the fields all the way to the sea.
Toilets and showers were spotless. The tent was also spotless and set up really well with an extension lead, lamp, lots of mats and a nice outdoor seating area. Loads of room to chill out inside and outside your tent as well as in the tea & coffee tent (genius idea!)
Loads of apple trees in the orchard with beautifully sweet apples.
It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about, but also keep secret! Fantastic value for money.

Powered gravel and concrete motorhome site
Liked Absolutely brilliant site, would definitely recommend.
The showers were hot and a good pressure (not sure I've ever actually had that before at a campsite!) Toilets were clean and maintained regularly. There's a lounge with a washing machine if you need it and a vending machine with essentials (milk etc).
The owners are lovely and can't do enough for you. We had an awning with our camper and they happily put it up for us (screws drilled into the ground as it's a hard standing).
The view at night was lovely, especially when there was a nice sunset. In the day you could see across the hills for miles. There's a lovely walk down to the river (struggle back up but then you've earned your BBQ for dinner!)
Disliked As others have said the roads to get in can be a bit narrow but honestly you find that with 90% of sites in Cornwall and Devon!

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Nice location, well kept, easy to find, lovely pub down the road, no faff about checking in, quiet, other guests were nice
Disliked Bit awkward being asked to leave in the pouring rain as we’d mistakenly booked our van onto the pitch - think it should be more explicitly stated in the listing that it’s not allowed as it made for a very awkward conversation and feeling unwelcome. Didn’t have a clue where the toilets were

From the manager: Glad you found so many positive points on a very wet evening. Our toilets are disguised as stables in case you need them next time. I am so sorry you booked thinking we take camper vans. Pitch up tell me they think we are clearly advertised as tents only. I can only apologise for the misunderstanding again.
