Unpowered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Warden was absolutely lovely. Chatty and sharing local knowledge. Always about, cleaning and litter picking. Obviously incredibly proud of her site. Forest trails direct from campsite and wild swimming spots nearby. Our non electric hard standing pitch felt very private and spacious. Loved it - thankyou!!

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Everything! Nature all around, pitches mown into the meadow, great to be able to walk bare foot in the grass. Tom and his girls brought us fresh eggs on arrival, which we had for breakfast - lovely family - so welcoming. Breathtaking views of western fells and Haweswater. VIP loos were lovely, and I enjoyed the posh moisturiser. The walk up the scar that Tom showed us revealed even more breathtaking views North. Couldn’t stop smiling. This was the first campsite of our 2 week camper van tour - it will take some beating!! Thankyou so much 🥰

From the manager: Hi Sarah & Chris, What a wonderful review – thank you so much. Reading it made us smile just as much as your stay clearly did! It was a real pleasure to meet you both, and hearing that Scarside has set the bar for the rest of your two-week campervan tour is about the biggest compliment we could ask for. We hope your travels were wonderful, and we'd love to welcome you back one day. Tom, Lauren & the girls

Liked The view, the space, the wildlife (peacocks, grouse, bats, swallows, butterflies, horses), the location and the owners who brought us water every day on a quad bike and took away our rubbish. Natural fire pit was perfect.
Disliked Car skidded a bit when grass was wet but Nigel (owner) helped us by taking our trailer to the pitch on his Quad bike.
