Powered gravel caravan site
Liked Well maintained site. Good hot showers. Toilet facilities perhaps a bit dated, but always spotlessly clean. Small farm shop at the entrance selling fruit, veg, eggs ,cheese, milk, cakes, bread etc. also had a coffee machine. We found it very useful. Poppy's restaurant had a very reasonably priced menu. We had their Sunday roast dinner. Delicious, and excellent value. Our small hard standing pitch was level and we used the electrical hookup. Walking round the site, some of the large hard standing pitches had great views over the countryside.
Disliked Site wifi was available, but as a payable extra.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lovely toilets, hot showers and washing up facilities. Freezer available for use, located in washing up room. Useful tiny shop.
Disliked A pity that the dog walking area is also the tent camping field. Would be good if a separate area could be identified, but I don't know where this could be located. Dogs were being kept on leads as far as I saw.

Powered grass site
Liked The peace and quiet. The facilities were excellent and included showers, toilets, laundry room, washing up sinks with drainers, ice block freezing etc. You can walk in the woods and fish in the lakes, play pitch and putt and play petanque. The site shop stocks local produce, food basics, newspapers and you can order croissants, pain au raisin etc for your breakfast the next day. There is an information cabin which also has DVD's, books and games to borrow. A pizza van comes once a week and a fish and chip van does too. Owners and staff very friendly. I can see why they get a lot of repeat business. Site handy for visiting the area's many attractions.

Liked Clean, well maintained site, with excellent facilities available. Good location to explore the area, but also option to explore on foot, using the various signposted paths. Staff were very helpful and polite.
Good views out to sea, of coast and countryside. Site not too crowded and was just outside the school holidays.
