Liked A peaceful, well appointed location with a friendly and helpful reception. Many opportunities to walk, enjoy local nature reserves, or visit nearby towns of historic and current interest, such as Glastonbury.

Liked A tidy well-organised site with good facilities. Excellent location by the marsh, with walking opportunities direct from the site, and local buses back to within 400 yards for those who might have walked a little too far on the outbound leg. Our campervan remained parked up for the three days of our stay.

Disliked A few too many 'instructional' signs... understandable with a site of this size, I suppose. The RAF and USAF frequently disturb the otherwise tranquil atmosphere.

Liked Very quiet site location. Owner friendly and welcoming. fifteen minute walk to Humber estuary and waterside walking. 10 minute drive to Spurn Head, accessing two-mile walk out to lighthouse, etc. (note - no dogs on walk out along shingle spit). Wildlife. Interesting and atmospheric landscape.

Liked Spectacular landscape, site situated in very quiet location just under the rim of Exmoor with a view out to the Bristol Channel in the distance. Perfectly adequate facilities - clean toilets and shower. Friendly reception from the owner.

Disliked Not really a dislike, but field has a significant slope and we would advise campervan users to use the higher pitches if possible - our van struggled a bit with the slope when the grass was dewy. Minor issue though.

From the manager: Thank you for your great review Andrew and it was good to meet you both. We do prefer campervans to park at the top of the field, especially if the ground is damp. While the field has a mild slope in the middle section, this is mainly given over to longer grass areas, with no pitches. The extensive flat and flatter areas are at the top, on both sides and at the lower end of the field - so plenty of suitable pitches to choose and masses of space between campers.
