Weymouth, Dorset, England
Powered concrete slab caravan site (medium, semi-serviced)
Liked This is without doubt the best site in Dorset. Facilities are10/10 - showers super clean and hot, vending machines on site, big field to exercise dogs, staff super friendly and helpful. The site itself is perfectly situated to explore Bridport, West Bay, Weymouth (all on bus routes that stop directly outside the site).

Bridport, Dorset, England
Star fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site
Liked Best Park Dean we've ever stayed at. Wonderful welcome on arrival, clean and tidy pitches, full marks for cleanliness for the cleaning team, the showers were immaculate, hot and powerful. Restaurant service and food was tip top. Sited in wonderful West Bay and easy walk along the public footpath to Bridport. Fabulous park, will definitely return.
Disliked Leaving! Wish it was open all year.

Powered grass site
Liked Friendly welcome. Well laid out site with level pitches and super clean, hot showers. Great options for walking direct from the site, either to Brean or Weston. Surprisingly quiet at night in spite of how busy it was.
Disliked Zero phone signal and the wifi you have to pay for.
We needed to leave before 8.30am only to find locked barriers preventing us. The night warden didn't have a key so we were trapped on site until a member of the day staff arrived. A bit concerning from a safety point of view if there was an incident overnight?

Power optional gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked Small tidy, quiet site in a great location for walking into Llanelli. Level pitches, fab views. Clear instructions on how to access the site were welcome.
Disliked Shower was disappointing - temperamental temperature and inadequate drainage meant dressing in water.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. As the shower rooms are wet rooms a mop and bucket are provided in each of the shower rooms to use when needed.

Liked Fantastic Aire - well done Pendine community council, if only more councils were so forward looking. Clean, level pitches, quiet site with good refuse disposal, grey and black waste points. Easy walk onto Pendine beach - brilliant. Phone signal was a bit iffy at times.

Liked Neat, tidy, well kept site with level pitches in stunning surroundings. Fabulous walk from the site around the historic village. If you like industrial ruins and historical interest you'll love it here. The shower block was immaculately clean and hot.
Janet was very friendly and helpful, often pottering around cleaning etc
Disliked Sadly we didn't like our pitch as had no privacy once another motorhome had parked behind us with another beside us blocking our light and view, camera above us so felt very claustrophobic. Would stay again but only if we could request another pitch.

Preston, Lancashire, England
Power optional concrete slab caravan site
Liked Clean, tidy, well laid out site with level pitches. Short walk to the canal path which has a fab cafe (The final whistle) along the route.
10 pound pre loaded electricity card was a great, fair idea, we stayed 2 nights and only used 2.50 which demonstrates how much other sites are ripping you off when all included!
Quiet at night, good wifi and clean hot showers, perfect.

Liked Very friendly welcome and informative leaflets given. Site was well laid out, well kept, quiet at night and pitch was level. Shower rooms were large, hot and clean. Liked Lovely friendly owner gave a very warm welcome which was appreciated. Fabulous access to the fells.
Loved the Donkey even if he was very noisy!
Disliked Our pitch had quite an incline and we'd forgotten our levelling chocks (our fault entirely but had hoped hardstanding would have been more level). The site is advertised as adult only but there were families with children playing around the vans with footballs etc which obviously kids will play but when expecting a quieter experience was disappointing.
We expected farm noise but barking dogs throughout the night kept us awake so sadly left a day early.

Liked Idyllic setting with fabulous views over the fells and with no light polution stunning location to observe the persid meteor shower. Easy interesting walk into Ravenglass which had an interesting steam railway and cafe with strong coffee. Quiet well kept site, shower was clean and powerful. Cockerel hens, chicks, sheep, cows, goats meandering around - absolutely fabulous.

Liked Small, quiet, tidy site, well kept level pitches. Easy walk opposite the site to access the England coast path with fab views over the Solway Firth.
Disliked Shower needs a grab rail as extremely slippery and tricky to step into. Water temp was ice cold and wouldn't heat up leading to a rather bracing wash!

Liked Absolutely stunning location with the best drive to reach the site, forest on the doorstep to explore. Very quiet. No check in - just pick a pitch
Disliked Shower light is on a sensor which goes out when you're under the shower, which was a bit alarming as pitch black in there. Had to frantically wave out the door to get the light to come back on. Fortunately saw the funny side of it! Didn't see the owners during our stay

Roy Bridge, Highlands and Islands, Scotland
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Stayed here on two separate occasions whilst touring Scotland. The site was well kept, right next to the river so great for walking, showers were hot and clean. In spite of it being packed our pitch felt private and the evenings were so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Disliked Our dog wants to lodge her complaint that there were too many rabbits and red squirrels for her liking. Her owners would like it noted that we on the other hand loved it!!

Liked Stunningly well kept site, beautiful pitches well spaced out with privacy planting. Shower block was fantastic! Really hot, powerful showers with ample room, hairdryers, no push button - absolutely brilliant!! Quiet site at night, walk by the river direct from the site.
Disliked No dislikes as far as the site is concerned but for other potential campers info - we walked down the main road with our small dog (not a pleasant journey as very busy and fast road) a short distance to the nature reserve hoping to grab a coffee. Unfortunately we were headed off at the pass by very pleasant officials who told us no dogs allowed anywhere on site including the cafe. Thankfully he permitted us to walk back to the site using the safer nature reserve path. We decided to cut our losses and grab a drink at Sinclairs restaurant which is immediately behind the site. Unfortunately Sinclairs isn't open Mondays or Tuesdays (when we were pitched) so couldn't drink or dine here either. With no other options we decided to walk the Chesters walk beside the site but thid was very overgrown and sodden wet so had to bail out. We ended up staying on site the whole time we were there, which for some, after not a particularly active holiday would suit. Sadly for us who like to explore directly from sites once parked and set up rather than move the motorhome and try to find parking etc we felt restricted. We'd stay again but next time with a caravan so we could leave the site and explore in a car.
