Shepherd's hut
Liked Very private and cosy, right on the farm with some stunning views through the trees. Amelia was very helpful through a little hiccup. Very reasonably priced and close to The Green for a wedding. Little log burner and a simple kitchen is all you need.
Disliked Wish I could have spent another day there!

Liked My usual spot to camp for a local sporting event, and as usual it's beautiful, chill and friendly. The black attention sponge of a cat makes a regular appearance for cuddles, the chickens like to investigate breakfast and the peacock is a showoff. The facilities are clean and modern, a great place to stay.
Disliked They're very clear about it but the field slopes in places, but it's easy to see and pitch accordingly

Liked Beautiful area, very chill and quiet, everyone was respectful and friendly, even the neighbours horses. Mind your guy ropes though it can get windy on the hill! The carvery does live up to the advertising. I recommend Dunster castle and town for a stroll through history. The pub has WiFi even though it doesn't stretch to the fields but catching the weather forecast with a drink was just an excuse.
Disliked While the pub facilities were great, the shower block could do with a bit of TLC, over all great value for money.

Liked Clean, spacious campsite, the facilities are newly renovated so very nice if small. The surrounding countryside is pretty and very quiet. Friendly chickens.
Disliked Not the campsites fault but there was a large loud group.

Liked It's an intimate little setting with only a few (decently sized) pitches, Emma and everyone there were so welcoming so it almost felt like staying with friends amongst her very extensive vegetable garden. The facilities were well built and clean. A short walk away is the river and a petrol station with basics. I can't fault anything about it. Would definitely recommend.
Disliked The heat (not that Emma could do anything about it)

Liked 12/10. Would recomend.
Down a small country lane there's your own little hillside paridice. There's the stunning evening view over the small valley, no noisy neighbours (if you don't mind the sheep), the cleanest and best looked after amenities (showers untested but looked awesome), a communal fridge and kettle for those desperate moments, a handful of levelled (and adorably named) pitches, local produce (I can vouch for the sausages). While I didn't have time to explore the area I have it on good authority it's interesting and well looked after.
Carol and Co have done a wonderful job. This will be my go to campsite for the area.
Disliked Should have stayed longer
