Liked Love Andark Lake. Its our "go to" place when we need to get away without hours of driving.
Showers/loos are clean. Staff are lovely. And even though it's fairly close to a busy road, you hear very little noise.
The weather was pretty awful, but didn't stop us getting out and about.
Disliked My only complaint this time was 3 or 4 older guys in campervans close to the entrance who couldn't be bothered walking down to the loos and decided that they would relieve themselves on the other side of the road in full view of all and sundry!
Did notify one of the staff members (female) but don't know if anything was said to them. If the female staff member was on her own, she might not have felt comfortable talking to them, which I fully understand.

Liked Lovely site. Friendly welcome. Large pitch, clean toilets and showers with plenty of hot water. There's also a small shop on site if you run out of the essentials.
Some people have mentioned the noise from the fairly busy A30, I'm a light sleeper and had no problem at all.
Disliked Nothing on the site.
However hubby and I like to walk to a local pub for a beer and evening meal. Unfortunately this is not possible as the A30 has no pavements and is a busy road.
This is absolutely no reflection on the site at all, just our preference.
We could have driven, but once hooked up, we tend not to move until we are ready to leave. There is a local taxi but as the weather wasn't brilliant we stayed put.

From the manager: Hi Linda Thank you for your great honest review. This is so informative to future guests. We pride ourselves on the campsite and hopefully make all our guests welcome so they can enjoy a relaxing, peaceful break away from home just enjoying the surrounding countryside. Looking forward to seeing you again Steph, Carl, Elaine & Graham

Liked Peace and quiet even though only a few minutes walk from fairly busy A27. Check in with reception painless. Spotless loos and toilets. Didn't use the coffee shop but it looked very nice. Also nice strong free WiFi signal, so no using up tons of mobile data. Just generally really nice and, for us, only 10 miles from home. So ideal when we want a break but don't want to travel for miles.
Recommend The Old Ship at the bottom of the lane and across the road for a meal. Or The Bold Forester which is a 20 minute walk (uphill going, downhill coming back) Lovely walks down The Hamble River.
