Liked The amazing views and peaceful ambience. The little farm shop which had all the basic needs and more. Very good value for money in close proximity of a bus stop and local pub.

Disliked Nothing. If you don’t like basic amenities then this may be a little out of your comfort zone. The showers have great pressure and temperature but are basic.

Liked Absolutely loved our stay. Sid was so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities were very clean, the pitches were a good space and the park was very quiet. Three pubs within walking distance and Keswick and cockermouth both short car journeys away. We will definitely return.

Liked Loved the amazing views, warm showers and very good location for fort William and glenfinnan.

Disliked The shower and toilet area were cleaned at the start of the day, therefore, on a busy campsite, they got dirty very quickly.

Liked The facilities were absolutely second to none. They were finished to a very high quality and we’re always absolutely spotless. Neil, the host, was absolutely brilliant. He was so accommodating throughout and ensured our stay was perfect. He even gave us 50p pieces out of his own pocket for the brilliant shower (best I’ve had in a long time).

Liked The caravan park was brilliant. The setting and views of blencathra were beautiful. We visited the nearby pub in Threlkeld on two occasions and both meals were brilliant. The showers were very good with sufficient cleaning facilities on site. There was also a tap located next to each electric pitch which was very handy. The park felt very spacious and nobody was on top of each other, which made our stay very relaxed. Brilliant location for Keswick, just 5 minutes down the road.

Liked The pitches are in a lovely valley with beautiful views. There are several water supplies on the farm, with a decent shower (£1 to use for approx 7 mins) and one toilet. Overall, a great stay. Basic, but very lovely at the same time.
