The location was good, 15 minutes from Penrith and Ullswater was about 20 minutes. There are some lovely walks just off the park and one in the park along by the river that was lovely for walking the dog.
The pitches were nice and level and the toilet block was clean. The showers were good with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed our stay but wouldn't go back.

    Disliked:

The tent pitches were very close and there were no lovely views that you associate with camping. This is mainly a caravan site and the provision of camping pitches felt like an after thought. The toilet block is further away than you would expect but it's doable.

A lovely site with a shallow river, suitable for wading and paddling, running through it. Site was quiet and seemed to have mostly families. There’s a well equipped shop and a pub onsite (I can’t comment upon it as we didn’t frequent it). The little ones in the group seem to enjoy the play parks and the games area.
There are lovely walks to the castle and surrounding areas.
There are lots of lovely pubs and shops in Eamont.
Cranstons food hall is also close by (fantastic meat for bbq)

    Disliked:

Quite expensive compared to other sites we have visited.
    WiFi is expensive

Beautiful area and very peaceful. We were camping and its not a huge site so we were close to the facilities, the pitch sizes are generous, the staff were all friendly and helpful and even loaned us an extension cable for our electric hookup for the whole 10 days, the bakery on site put out some lovely food. We will definitely be back. We had a great time.

    Disliked:

Erm...not much to say here really, there's very little to dislike. The shop could've been a bit better stocked but that's about it. Not a big deal.

There was plenty to do on site with a shop/ cafe, games room play areas and bar. Our kids are 13 and 18 so meant there was something for everyone. The nearest village was within walking distance which allowed us to venture out without the van. We were able to paddle board on the river surrounding the campsite which kept us all busy for the majority of the day

    Disliked:

The motorhome pitches are in an area lined with trees which brought along the birds and sunrise, it didn’t wake the kids up but I was up at the crack of dawn
