Lovely site in an excellent setting. You could stroll around the park with the river along one side with plenty of bench's or stroll through the woods up to Lowther Castle. The Lakes bakery is located in the park shop and does a lovely selection of baked produce. Plenty of play areas on site for younger children

Great stay, beautiful and safe site. Lots for young children to do. Toilets and showers always clean. Multiple drinking water taps scattered around the park.

Toilets are quite a distance from the camping area which is a nuisance. However, wouldn’t stop me booking again.

The park is kept immaculate. All staff that we came in to contact with were very friendly and approachable.
Pitch sizes were good. The site was very quiet at night.

Shower and toilet block very clean while we were there all staff very friendly and helpful squirrel inn on site nice but no longer do food .shop did some food reasonably priced lovely walks good location for getting out and about

Pitches small and quite close together no privacy our last night a number of vans turned up together all new eachother some were still drinking at one in the morning .shame it put us off .

Clean toilet and shower facilities. Site has some beautiful walking areas especially walking to the castle. Very quiet at the time we went. Very friendly staff

I was apprehensive about staying here due to some of the reviews but honestly we enjoyed it, we were only staying one night. It was very peaceful and had a river running through the kids and dogs love to padel in it. Has bakery and pub on site but we can’t comment as we didn’t use, The owner is very friendly and helpful 😊

Motorhome Pitches slightly too close together.

This is a lovely large campsite which has a real community feel. Very pet friendly - there were a lot of dogs staying and they were welcome in the pub and shops. The shop is large and stocks everything you would need, and the bar was friendly and lively. Quiet at night, with good shower and toilet facilites.

Lovely and peaceful, stayed for 2 nights but would of happily stayed longer. The last night a loud group camped next to use partying. but the caretaker on site was quick to respond once it got to late and too loud and everything eventually quieted down.

How far away from the campsite the toilets are. They are surrounded buy caravans that don't need toilet or showers. But I'm guessing there is a reason it's like this.
