Disliked: Teenager’s causing damage to property and tent, we left the camp site for two hours and come back to tent full of holes, branches had been poked through the tent and thrown on top from the forest area onto 4 tents alongside ours. I had spoken to the warden and residents who all advised local teenagers are on the park all the time starting fires and causing damage. They advised me to put in a complaint with Mark the manager who wasn’t interested in the slightest just said at least it’s dry for you packing up to leave then walked back into his office to see his dog. This is not a safe family friendly site, I strongly advise against coming here if you have a young family. Really dissapointed with the site and manager.

Liked: Site was nice and tidy. Toilets and showers were all lovely and clean. Loved the fact we had the river 30 second walk away, great for walks and paddle boarding. We will definitely be back!

Liked: Pitch size was the best we've ever had at any campsite. There was plenty of green space for the kids to play. Loved the location to explore the local area, Lowther Castle, Penrith, Askham and more. Toilets and washing up facilities were always quiet and clean. Pub and little shop/bakery on site was good too.
Disliked: Toilet block was quite far away from camping pitches which was not ideal with a young family.

Liked: Situated under the trees and handy for toilet block. Quieter than we expected from 6 week holiday period.
Great position for lots of walks, we'll come back with our bikes to explore the numerous cycling trails.Disliked: The toilet/shower block was a mess, toilet paper in sinks and blocking some toilets.
Bar area was a bit shabby and could do with a lick of paint.

Also kids hanging around the trees after 11.oclock at night swearing is not great the park is needs someone going around after ten o'clock and checking on the place and the noise levels also distance to the toilets from.the camping field could be a distance for some people for me park foot are waterside campsite for me
