The pub & bakery was lovely, but the park itself is beautiful. You can get back to nature and just enjoy beautiful surrounding. Lovely walking trails for the dogs.
Nice clean hot showers.
Staff was very friendly and happy to help. Overall 10/10

A bigger site than we'd normally go for. Not adult only.
Both points reflect out choices rather than issues with the site.

We used this as an overnight stop on the way to Scotland. The site was welcoming and the pitches were adequate. Bit difficult to judge on such a short stay but I would imagine that it would be a great location for a Lake District trip.

The location was ideal with walks to the castle practically outside of the tent.
Can walk down to the river- very picturesque.

Modern and well maintained play area.

In my opinion camping is an afterthought and certainly not there primary business model

tent pitches are on a uneven angled hill causing pools of water to collect.

Only toilet block was a good 5 minute or longer walk which certainly isn’t ideal with young children

Reported no hot water for washing up three times to staff, however never got fixed and when checking out they were unaware of my multiple complains

The list could go on.

Clean shower blocks, on site bar and shop, excellent location

the location was super. Close to the toilets. Water and waste close at hand.

Pitches were a little boggy due to the constant rain fall. could this be improved with gravel?

The lane into the site was lovely, winding past a river and under a viaduct before arriving at a clearly marked reception area.
Staff very friendly and I was given the gate code and shown my pitch which I found easily.
The park is very big compared to my usual site but as it was very quiet, all was good.
Toilet block was close by and clean with plenty of toilets and showers. Good hot water in the shower which was a push button with no adjustment available to the fixed head which was set high up but it was fine for me.
Hook up post was close by and the pitch was almost flat.
Great location and easy to find.

Nothing to dislike on this trip as it was almost empty! That said, no wi-fi.

We have been twice now and both time has been quiet and so relaxing. Lovely site and plenty places to go to walk the dogs. Will be back soon
