Disliked: Too many lodges and pitches. The description of the site is totally misleading. We were expecting a much smaller site from the online description.

Walk into penrith about an hour ( with2 kids) definately not 20mins 🤣

Liked: We had our very first camping trip here and were not disappointed. The pitch was near the play areas which, with a 5-year old, was great. The wash block is in a good distance of where we pitched, clean and warm. The bath was a bonus, even though we didn’t make use of it. Lovely shop and pub onsite and friendly staff. Games room was there too, but not made use of it. Pub doesn’t serve food, but you are able to get a variety of foods in the shop next door that you can eat there instead.
Disliked: Very minor, but upon booking we requested a pitch next to our friends who booked at the same time, as we both have young children. When we checked the day before, we were informed there was 2 pitched between us. On the day we found that our friends were able to swap pitch with the people that were supposed to pitch next to us, as they were there with friends too and we’re already pitched next to our friends’ original pitch.
