Great spot for D-Day sites & Omaha Beach. Spacious, private sites, super helpful staff. Clean facilities, good hot showers, though some found no loo seats/paper. On-site bakery's a bonus. Mostly ripper reviews, just a couple of minor quibbles about crowds or facilities.

Liked Good pitch. Lovely host. Good breakfast options - we had bread and pastries delivered. Washing facilities fine. Perhaps bring your own loo roll. Quiet. Got plenty of sleep. Good location.

Liked What a week. What a site , and what a wonderful group of people. We loved the site. Nice and small and friendly. Staff are super helpful and charming. Everything you need, in this one super site. We are gonna go back again

Liked Very close to D Day landing beaches and museums. Showers were clean and plenty of hot water however there were only 4 female ones so there was often a queue.
We had a good pitch but some were smaller. WiFi dropped out often.

Liked The campsite is perfectly placed for Bayeux and all the D Day beaches. We received a warm welcome on arrival. The pitch was a good size and the facilities were spotless every day. The site was also nice and peaceful

Local attractions

Normandy tourist destinations of Omaha beach and the Bayeux Tapestry see hundreds of thousands of visitors to this region every year. The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial is at the site's local town of Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking the beach; at Bayeux, take time to see the town as well as its famous tapestry, stopping off at the 11th-century cathedral, the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy, and, if you're here for World War II remembrance, the British war cemetery just outside town. The fishing, horse riding and canoeing within the same distance should provide plenty of entertainment by the coast, as should the local sands within a kilometre, and the fishing boat views from the harbour of Port-en-Bessin, three kilometres from the site. The World War II memorial and museum of La Pointe du Hoc within 20 minutes' drive of the site. Also, remember to take your chance to have a tour of the Isigny Sainte Mère Coopérative (20 minutes' drive) cheese and butter factory.
