  • Off-grid glamping site in rural Carmarthenshire
  • A 20-minute drive from Carmarthen and Llanelli
  • Solar-powered accommodation right by National Cycle Route 47
Route 47 Glamping is a family-run business situated on a smallholding in pretty Carmarthenshire, West Wales. With accommodation options for individuals, couples and families, the site is set in gorgeous countryside just five minutes' drive from the A48 at Cross Hands. But despite its convenient location for motorists, this is just the kind of place where it makes a lot of sense to leave the car at home, as the site is located just off National Cycle Route 47 (because of this, please drive with great care when entering and leaving the site). Further boosting its green credentials, the site is solar-powered – a smart choice that means that your breaks here won't cost the earth. In terms of facilities, Route 47 Glamping has washing-up points, gas-powered hot showers, eco toilets, a recycling area, a picnic area and individual firepits with seats. There's also a kids' playground and a small petting area with rabbits and pet lambs ( please make sure that children are supervised when in these spaces). Another plus is that Route 47 Glamping has its own communal pizza oven, so you can make your own pitta pizzas to eat in the shared covered decking area. Small dogs are welcome on the site.

Fern bell tent (six person)

Liked: We had such a great stay with our 3 young children. A small and beautiful site, nicely secluded and very quiet. Facilities were very good and our friendly host had taken so much care with many extra and unexpected touches to make things as relaxing and fun as possible for the children with crafts and a games room, fire pits and barbecues. Solar powered chargers and lights make it magical after dark. Will definitely look to stay again.

Disliked: Showers were a bit chilly!

Bell tent (four person)

Liked: We booked route 64 last minute as our travel plans had unexpectedly changed , however they say everything happens for a reason 😊. I’m so glad we found the place The location is stunning very private and quiet but still close to amenities, a beautiful nature reserve ,cycle paths , and a short drive to the coast (highly recommend visiting berry port beaches the beaches are stunning) . The accommodation has been beautifully put together with everything we needed for our stay , we liked how everything is off grid and sustainable without compromising comfort ,even the Showers are better than some hotels we have stayed at in the past .

Disliked: Nothing 😊
