What customers say
Great spot for walkers, right by a river. Pitches are a decent size, some with fire pits. The pub next door is a ripper for a yarn with friendly locals. Facilities are basic but work, including a hot shower. Some reckon it's a bit steep for what you get, and motorhomes park in the pub carpark. Could do with better facilities and clearer pub hours.

Liked Really nice natural and basic campsite. The pub was great place for a drink and to meet people, the owners were really nice, really friendly and really helpful.
Disliked The campsite facilities could do with a bit of a makeover. Being basic was ok, just needed to be a bit less grubby.

Would visit again but facilities could be nicer
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Next to a lovely stream and very serene. Good sizes pitches with many fire pits so you won't compete for a fire
Disliked Next to a car park but it's not busy and means you can park next to the tents. Facilities aren't the greatest but fine for a short stay

Limited space, no vehicle access to the part you want to get to.

Liked The drive to the campsite.
Disliked The description says the campsite is in the pub car park. To charge to stay there it must be a pretty special car park, right?
Sure there is a lovely shaded area where you can build a fire, and there is a stream babbling nearby, and it's stunning there, however, you can't get to it in your campervan so you would have to lug all your belongings there because it's sectioned off from the car park. We paid £30 for 2 nights, stood in the car park for 2 mins and drive off. We personally did not want to spend a gorgeous weather weekend in a pub car park, with all the pub users, and all the noise and goings on associated with a pub car park. Did I mention the 'camp site' is a pub car park? I think I did. Disgusting to charge a fee, and refer to it as a campsite in my view, even though they say the campsite is in the carpark. Still you live and learn.

Liked Brilliant little hidden gem of a campsite.
The owners are fantastic and couldn't be more helpful.
The shower is wet and warm and the toilet is for number 1. Any larger packages have to be dropped of in my toilet across the road.!
Will definitely be back ASAP
Beautiful walks right from the campsite and enough pubs and attractions to keep you busy if not going up the mountain.
Just a proper old fashioned campsite none of this glamping nonsense. Bar across the road. Just perfect.
Disliked Not a bloody thing.

Bleak. It’s ok for tents but horrible for vans

Disliked The pub is only open at weekends. This is not in the listing. It’s a bleak car park. Nothing to recommend it
