- If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.

River Wye Campsite gets a thumbs up for its cracker riverside spot, ripper staff and tidy amenities. Campers loved the cafe, bar and food trucks, plus easy river access for kayaking. Most reckon it's a cruisy, well-kept site, though some think the loos and showers could do with a spruce up and reckon hot water can be touch-and-go. A few had a yarn about noisy campers and a bit of hassle with unallocated sites.

Liked Loved the location of the site, right next to the river. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The little cafe was well stocked and we enjoyed a drink outside on the grass. The grounds were clean and well maintained.

Liked The staff are very helpful and friendly. I like the choices of fields available. The main showers and toilets are kept very clean. It is next to the river.
Disliked In the main shower block there are two showers for women. Only one of them worked during my stay.

Liked Review: 8/10 – River Wye Campsite
I had a fantastic stay at River Wye Campsite! The staff were absolutely brilliant – friendly, approachable, and went above and beyond, especially when it came to helping me store medication that needed to be kept chilled. The coffee on site was a lovely bonus – genuinely some of the nicest I’ve had at a campsite.
The location is perfect for families, couples, and even dogs. There’s a beautiful riverside walk right from the site, and plenty of well-thought-out activities to keep children and adults entertained alike.
Disliked The only thing that stops this from being a 10/10 is the washroom facilities – they’re functional but would really benefit from a modern update to match the quality of the rest of the site.

Disliked Showers were not that warm. Also my battery pack was stolen when on charge so definitely not somewhere you want to leave valuables - only while in shower and came back and gone!
