  • Clifftop site with stunning sea views out towards Cardigan Bay
  • Under 15 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth
  • Outdoor heated pool, playground and games lounge
What a beaut. And it's an award-winner too: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around on the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor summer pool and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team are on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

What customers say

Spectacular sea views, spotless site, ripper staff. Pool, playground, dog field are hits. Mostly great, but loos are a bit old, and the shop's a bit light on. Coastal walks are ace, but the road's a bit tight. Keen to come back!

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked View when we could see it.
Warden accommodating when we asked to move pitch

Disliked Pitch Red Kite 8 which was allocated to us had bushes so high you couldn't see the view unless you sat on top of the picnic table.
Moved to Red Kite 7 which was lovely until a Kontiki pitched up sideways front of us. No view again.
Large tent party with swearing kids and loud music .
Showers lack somewhere to put belongings down to keep dry.
At £45 a night, which you were paying for a view, no view.

From the manager: Hi Kaye,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how important the view is to many of our guests, and we’re glad our warden was able to assist in moving you to a different pitch. However, we regret that your view was still obstructed due to another guest’s setup.

We also appreciate your comments about the shower facilities. We’re currently reviewing ways to improve convenience and comfort in these areas, and your input is valuable in that process.

We hope you might consider visiting us again in the future, perhaps at a different pitch location, so we can provide the experience we strive for with every guest.

Best regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked Everything! Absolute gem of a campsite, although more of a luxury hotel for motorhomes, tents and caravans! The views are out of this world, with the sun sets to die for. Perfectly sized and level pitches, ours was fully serviced and everything was close to the pitch. Amenities were spotless, even with a free washing machine and dryer to use! Lively site with lots of people coming and going. Really enjoyed the sea breeze sanctuary, a most wonderful garden offering lovely shade. Fantastic dog exercise field, even had a ball thrower and balls to borrow! Lots of dog poop bins, so a great place for dog owners. The sea with a rocky beach is a 5 minute walk in the campsite and is also dog friendly. There is a food van serving hot food most evenings, and we were told most of the restaurants in the area deliver - we did see pizzas being delivered! Staff are super helpful and really friendly. We stayed 3 nights and honesty could have stayed for weeks!

Disliked Nothing, everything has been thought of to make a perfect stay

Liked Purely

Disliked The water in the bathroom is alternately cold and hot. There is nowhere to walk.Wi-Fi is blocked and there is a requirement to buy from the camping park wifi.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience.
We always recommend that guests research and plan their stay to ensure it meets their expectations. The option to purchase a WiFi voucher is not compulsory, and we apologize if this was not clear.
With 96 acres of property and access to the Wales Coastal Path, there are numerous walking opportunities available. We provide hit and cold taps at all of the sinks in the washrooms with a mixer shower for the comfort of all users. We did not receive any reports of any faults during your stay with us if you actually did stay on the park.
We hope you research before your stay with other holiday parks in the future to ensure you can walk somewhere.

From the manager: Hi Michelle,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🌟 We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the spectacular views and found our staff to be fabulous. Your kind words mean a lot to us.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the cliff top motorhome pitches. We're always looking for ways to improve, and your suggestion about adding picnic tables has been explored, we think smaller seating as the pitch does not have much spare room for a picnic bench. We're certainly always looking at ways to upgrade.

We hope to welcome you back soon for another great stay!

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
