What customers say

Lovely, peaceful spot near Loch Lomond. Spotless, modern facilities & friendly staff. Spacious pitches. Great for exploring, though on-site extras are limited & Wi-Fi can be patchy.

Tall Pines powered gravel motorhome site

Liked The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The facilities were clean and well maintained. 10 minute walk to the beach. Very dog friendly. A bbq was arranged for the Saturday night with lots of choice. Very quiet after 10pm, had a great night sleep and would have stayed an extra night had I not had to come home for work. Ample pitch size.

Disliked Nothing! Would stay again

Power optional grass tent site

Liked Excellent location. Lovely wee site. The field for the tents is directly adjacent to the toilet/shower/laundry/dishwashing area, so very handy. Plenty electric hook up points. There was a nice atmosphere around, all the campers were very nice groups or families, everyone chatted to each other in the passing, just a very pleasant experience.

Disliked Car parking is a squeeze.

Robin's Nest cabin

Liked Very chilled and friendly park. Simple, clean cabin with comfortable bed, kettle and cups. Fridge is located outside. Wifi in the pod. Fire pit and bbq next to the pod, free of charge. You can buy wood in the shop at reception. 5 minutes walk to Loch Lomond, sandy beach with shallow water-perfect for kids. Showers are free and clean. Owners are lovely.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. I am glad you find our toilet and shower facilities adequate. These are maintained to a high standard and kept clean for all to use. The outside of the blocks is in need of painting which is scheduled to be carried out in the quieter months. I am sure you will agree that a little faded paint does not detract from the excellent clean facilities we provide and that the majority of customers rate us highly for.

Local attractions

This is a central base indeed… set your sights on historic Stirling (40 minutes’ drive), a city with historic credentials like a castle, The National Wallace Monument and The Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre (45 minutes). The latter is based on a medieval battle location, which some of you might recognise from the film Braveheart. Of course, Glasgow (50 minutes) has more historic attractions, especially museums and impressive architecture. There are shops and theatres for those seeking a simpler kind of entertainment. Those who haven’t already tasted enough whisky in the city bars can pay a visit to the Glengoyne Distillery (20 minutes), which runs tours and tastings (including of their tasty single malt whisky). Perhaps you’re an animal fan too. There are 300-plus creatures at the Blair Drummond Safari Park (35 minutes), including giraffes and lions, and hands-on activities with the farm animals at Briarlands Farm (35 minutes).
