Power optional grass motorhome site

Liked So close to nature. Lots of birds and pheasants. Pigs interesting too. Great facilities, kitchen is like home, has everything and a stove too. Just super cosy. Hot tub, sauna and jacuzzi were amazing.

Disliked Nothing

Power optional grass motorhome site

Liked I was cancelled at short notice, so nothing.

Disliked Cancelled my booking a week before I was due to stay even though I had paid in full. It was very difficult to find anywhere available for a Saturday night at such short notice. Girl who phoned was apologetic but basically I was cancelled so someone else could use the pitch. Very poor service , avoid if you don’t want the same.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We are new to pitch caravan and campervans and we had an event pre-booked on the date you had booked. We understand how irritating this can be and so we won't make that mistake again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Poor site with faulty electrics, helpful chap, but cannot recommend.

Power optional grass motorhome site

Liked Convenient tap.
When electrics failed test we could move to a temporary spare pitch with correct electrics so visit not totally spoiled.

Disliked Electric hook up unused as polarity was reversed. Very little information available. Facilities very limited and shared with glampers. Had appearance of pop-up site with pitches roped off, no signs

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We have tested our electrics and there is no reverse polarity, but thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay.

Nice site once you’ve figured it out, good facilities.

Power optional grass motorhome site

Liked Really nice site with plenty of facilities, I was only stopping over one night on the way to the ferry at Dublin in campervan, (good for that as well) so I didn’t get chance to enjoy ask the stuff there.

Disliked Office closes at 5 pm so after that you’re left to your own devices to find your pitch, no big deal for me, found the campervan spaces and parked up. Maybe a few extra signs to point to facilities. It’s a big site and easy to wonder off in the wrong direction looking for the loos as I did 🥴
Just the first time of course !

Oh yes. €8 euros for electric is a bit steep. That’s what I’d use at home without everything switched on.

Power optional grass motorhome site

Liked - Clean and tidy showers and toilets, with proper shower heads
- Very quiet at night – great for a good night’s sleep
- 4 camper van pitches with electricity available
- Glamping tents on site looked neat and well-kept
- Shared sanitary facilities kept clean
- Self-service check-in worked smoothly (received pitch details by email)
- Fresh water tap available

Disliked - Only one power group for the 4 camper pitches – might be a bit limited if everyone uses a lot of electricity
