  • A 10-minute drive from The Lost Gardens of Heligan
  • Sea views, large play areas and coffee lounge on site
Just look at that beach… Seaview Gorran Haven Holiday Park is at the start of the Roseland Peninsula on Cornwall's south coast, surrounded by a patchwork of fields and the blue sea. It's a 20-minute stroll from spectacular sands at Hemmick Beach and in a stunningly scenic park with colourful flowers and views over the ocean and nearby Dodman Point The site is centrally set for heaps of attractions including the South West Coast Path, which is within walking distance, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 10 minutes' drive away. The rainforest biomes of the Eden Project is within half an hour's drive of the site. St Austell is the closest big town, about 20 minutes' drive away. As well as being in a prime spot near the coast, Seaview Gorran Haven Holiday Park has a play area with swings and slides, plus plenty of room for kids to run around at the park's big games areas. There is also a secure dog-walking area where pups can run free, and a coffee lounge in the Chapel reception area where you can grab a hot drink before a big day out. A heated outdoor pool is open during high season only (and subject to weather conditions).

What customers say

Spacious, private sites & clean, individual shower blocks get a thumbs up. Heated pool, play area & footy field loved by families. Great for beaches but approach roads can be tight, and some facilities need a refresh. No shop was a common mention.

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked The pool was sufficient. The guy with the husky the groundsman he was a lovely friendly chap very hardworking and didn't seem to stop always has a smile. He actually deserves a holiday (not seaview park) or a pay rise. Washing machine worked and dryer. Reception & coffee shop are to lure you in as these are nice as pics show.

Disliked I'm No Karen but you want an honest review and not a sugar coated one for all the snowflakes here goes.... ground was too solid even for heavy duty pegs. People sick on camp which we then contracted Neurovirus 🤢 so spent 3 days of our holiday in the tent with sick children. The toilets were diabolical about 6 shower/toilet rooms for the entire campsite with showers that had no shower heads they're all flooded stink of urine! It's not great that the toilets are for all and not male & female seperate blocks as several children couldn't lock the doors so many were walked in on or locked in once inside as locks were no good for kids. The receptionist was quite rude upon arrival as we arrived an hour early she clearly stated I'm not meant to let you on till 2 well thats pretty crap as you're on at 2pm off at 10am so technically paying for 2 days you're not on it. The access to the beach is not good if you have difficulty walking as it's a very steep hill down and up. Pollution on beach and not informed. If you want as stated "seaview" bring a telescopic ladder to get you up a tree and a pair of binoculars failing that get a drone! Microwave and cooker are possibly the reason for norovirus!!! 🤢 grass pitch was right on the bins needs moving really, told me when booking no electric field available yet parked me on an electric pitch! 🤦🏻‍♀️ playground dated! If you want a seaview holiday park i recommend the one you pass driving in as we thought that was ours! "Heligan caravan and camping"

Liked Nice large fully serviced pitch close to the central toilet / shower facilities.

Disliked The hard standing area was made up with large stones which were uncomfortable to walk on even with an awning carpet down.

Liked Was a lovely peaceful site. Beautiful surroundings, lovely swimming pool and clean out and about. Great park and field space for the kids to play football and run around. The kitchen was great with grill, hob and kettle when the weather was rubbish we could all use to cook food. Separate rooms for showers and toilets which was great.

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked The facilities and pitches with electricity looked really nice ,wide and very private. Unfortunately we were camping on the playground.

Disliked It was very pricey compared to others sites with no electric pitches so I was expecting a very nice quiet place. However we were very unlucky. Our pitch was in the middle of the playground - 3 meters away from the football pitch. The tent and the car were constantly hit by the footballs. Very loud and noisy from the morning till very late( some days the kids were playing football pass midnight shouting and hitting our tent)
No privacy on non electric pitches.
Also gym very pricey £12 per day per person. No information on the website only found out on arrival.
What supoused to be a nice and quiet family holiday turned out to be extremely stressful. Staff not helpful when we complain about the pitch they said nothing they can do about it. Maybe don't make the pitch next to the football goal or place the net around the football pitch? Very disappointing.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass site

Liked Shower block layout meant as a family we could use one cubical to brush teeth rather than separate ones, this set up is good for families with younger children as there is plenty of room in the cubical to shower, change and use the toilet.

Communal kitchen facilities were clean and adequate. Washing machine, dryer, mini oven, kettle, toaster and freezer available to use.

Swimming pool was clean and plenty of seating area. Giant chess and table tennis table also available. Coffee lounge off main reception had coffee machine, cold fridges of cans, chocolate, milk cartons all payable at reception. Can sit overlooking the pool.

Easy check in and pitch (hedged) was adequate with shared water and electric point. Grass areas around pitches were well-maintained.

Quiet campsite.

WIFI by pitch.

Disliked Strong smell of camabis durimg the day and evening and whilst I understand this is the choice of campers, it did not appear that any staff were present or onsight after 6pm, we did not see anyone walking about.

There are no night lights around the pitches, so head torches for early morning toileting are beneficial.

No onsight shop for basics such as bread. We found a small post office in Gorran that sold milk, fresh bread, and all other necessities.

Route directions

From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey for approximately three miles, at the top of the steep hill, turn right signposted to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Seaview International. Follow this road and turn for the yellow Seaview Lodges sign. If you are using a GPS or satnav device then do not carry straight on at the top of the hill as this will take you into the centre of Mevagissey where the streets are extremely narrow and often blocked. Please turn right at the top.

Local attractions

Seaview is close to the South West Coast Path – and sands – of Restormel, a top spot for cyclists and walkers, and among the coves, safe clean beaches and jaw-droppingly scenic coast of the Roseland Peninsula. St Mawes (35 minutes) and St Just (an hour and 20 minutes) are both within easy reach; access sailing, fishing boat hire and kayaking nearby at Mevagissey (15 minutes). You could also take a boat trip along the Fal from Falmouth (55 minutes), pedal the Clay Trail for five miles from the Eden Project (half an hour) to Wheal Martyn, or venture determinedly forth for Cornwall's old castles and buildings, including the Caerhays Castle (five minutes) manor house. Kids will surely like the Shipwreck Treasure Museum (20 minutes), within a short drive at the port of Charlestown, and Flambards Theme Park (an hour) and the Crealy Theme Park & Resort (an hour and 45 minutes). A football golf centre, indoor soft play and the Wingz bird and animal sanctuary are all a few minutes' drive from St Austell. Regattas, carnivals and festivals run throughout Cornwall all year round; ask the Seaview team when you arrive what's going on locally.
