  • Spacious family-friendly resort close to Cornwall’s northern coast
  • A 15-minute drive from Newquay’s Watergate Bay and Fistral beach
  • Pools, pub, café, activities, playground and gym
Bag your family a break near swimming coves and surfing waves on Cornwall’s north coast with a stay at Atlantic Reach Resort, a site set 15 minutes' drive away from Newquay’s Watergate Bay, Fistral Beach and Lusty Glaze Beach. This niftily located park is also close to the main A30 road for touring the area’s kid-friendly attractions, like the Screech Owl Sanctuary and the Lappa Valley steam railway (10 minutes' drive), and is chock-full of facilities to keep the kids busy (like splashing in the indoor and outdoor pools). Got any get-up-and-go left after chasing small guests around the playground for hours on end? Stroll over to the modern gym and sign up for one of the 80 classes running per week. There are extra activities that guests can book on site during their stay, like segway adventures, laser tag games and, in the summer months, a huge slip and slide ride. If just reading about all these activities has you wanting to dive under the duvet, not to worry – the site is designed for chillouts too with spacious, open grounds to rest in the open air, a café serving barista-brewed coffee for a calming morning cuppa and a pub selling food as well as drinks for relaxed family meals.

What customers say

Great spot for families with spacious sites and plenty to do. Some facilities are a bit tired, showers especially, and noise can be an issue. Pool bookings can be tricky.

Liked Our toilets were clean at all times

Disliked Road ways are a pain to walk on, pitches are very uneven ours had a huge slope c43 pitch so sleeping in a tent wasn’t good. Shop prices over inflated, ‘pub’ wasn’t good either sticky tables and food was sub par. Didn’t try the swimming as was fully booked inside at all times

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you found the toilets clean during your stay.

We’re sorry that some aspects of your visit didn’t meet expectations, including the pitch slope, shop and pub experience, and availability at the swimming pool. We really appreciate your comments as they help us focus on improvements for future guests.

We hope you were still able to enjoy some time outdoors and make the most of your stay.

Liked Definitely not the staff welcome staff in front office road arrogant quite up themselves as for the outdoor pole disgusting floating debris no filtration leaves dead bugs spoke to an owner who said they have this all the time sight don't care

Disliked As above all the above is correct loads of complaints against this firm useless don't go there use your money wisely done spend it there on the last day had no water to a service pitch because of some sort of thought but the slipping slide had plenty of water because I was taking thousands of pounds

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay, including the pools and water supply on your pitch, did not meet your expectations.

For clarity, the Slip & Slide runs on a separate water system, which is why it remained open while other facilities were affected. We take all guest feedback seriously and use it to identify areas where we need to improve our facilities and service. We regret that your experience was disappointing and appreciate your comments.

Site could be cleaner and things need fixing.

Liked Lovely outdoors space, soft play nice and clean and staff in leisure centre friendly

Disliked Outdoor pool cold and dirty. Shower block needed cleaning more often. Broken pipe under sink at washing up station. Didnt see any maintenance people and wasn’t fixed in the 8 nights we was there. Amusements need up dating. Couldn’t get a slot for the indoor pool.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our outdoor space, soft play, and found our leisure centre staff friendly.

We’re sorry that some areas didn’t meet your expectations. We really appreciate your comments regarding the pool temperature, shower block, and maintenance issues – we take these on board to help us improve for future guests. Our team works hard to keep things running smoothly, and your feedback helps us prioritise areas that need attention.

We hope despite these issues, you were still able to enjoy your stay and make some lovely memories with your family.

Liked Great spacious pitches, very accommodating as we were away with friends so we wanted to be pitched together. great parks for the kids, pub on site was very nice and friendly, used outdoor pool, and mini golf. Also used the slip and slide which was very fun. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great location to explore Cornwall

Disliked Water stopped working several times whilst we were there, which ment we weren’t able to use the showers when we wanted too.
Outdoor pool looks green, but it looks like the floor, and the shack by the pool was closed and looked very run down.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site

Liked Camping pitch good size and electric hook up as standard which was unexpected. Quiet family camping (mostly), lots of paid activities (we did not use this), not too far from Newquay. Leisure centre quite well maintained.

Disliked Games room which was very old, run down and half of the machines were not working as they should. The water stopped working altogether in the ladies toilet/shower blocks on two separate days which was really frustrating, shower floor in the men’s block was spongey and water damaged. Couldn’t really go swimming as the indoor pool was booked up majority of the time. Outdoor pool we chose not to go in as it did not look very clean, photos looked nice online but definitely was not as in the photos. Facilities definitely need updating unfortunately.

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found your pitch a good size and enjoyed the quiet family camping atmosphere, as well as the location near Newquay.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site

Liked The only thing we liked were the pitch size

Disliked Very dirty/dated showers and toilets
Outdoor pool was shocking, we booked to go before arriving. When we got there, we walked straight back out. It was full of dead bugs, leaves, looked like it hadn't been cleaned all year.
The indoor pool wasn't much better. No cubicles to get changed, pool water was cloudy, we lasted 10 minutes once we had hairs wrapping around are fingers as we swam that was our sign to get out.
None of the pools have life guards.
The arcades, we're also dated and most of them took your money and didn't work.
No entertainment.
The shop wasn't great.
The few staff we dealt with weren't very friendly.
We paid for a fully serviced touring pitch but was without water from around 7pm till 10.30am the following day. No updates on when it would be back on when we asked the staff trying to fix it, we were just told it happens this time of year. Not good when you pay for fully serviced.
The rest of the site we can't really comment on. After what we experienced we didn't bothered looking around the rest, we spent ours day off site.
When you look forward to your holiday all year and arrive to a site in that condition it's very disappointing.
Would not return and would not recommend.

Liked Both pools were great. Kids had lots of fun in them.
Clean showers and washing up areas.
Friendly staff.

Disliked No toilet within easy access when at the outdoor pool (if the restaurant is closed)
Some of the pitches are a bit sloped. Had to pay for Wi-Fi. The restaurant/bar was expensive for drinks £8.40 for two lemonades.

Liked The pitch was a good size, people were friendly stayed in the Crantock field and the toilets and shower facilities were really modern, clean and tidy. Used the indoor pool which was nice when it was raining. There’s lots of other stuff to do their so great for the kids.

Disliked The pitches are slightly sloped but that’s just nit picking

Liked Taken to our pitch and explained about the size of the pitch etc

Excellent size pitches with electric point and drinking water very close by.

Toilets and showers were clean and tidy.

They laundry facilities behind the toilet block and washing up facilities

Heated indoor pool. Book early it fills up quickly. There is an outdoor pool but I heard it was very cold.

Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a pub onsite and entertainment.

Local co-op is very close with parking and other supermarkets nearby.

Disliked The only thing I can say is read the literature they give you. We had only seen the hut that sells ice cream drinks etc and the office but didn't realise there is a shop on-site until we looked at the literature.
I would suggest they give you a list of key points on this huge site.
Other than that everything was really good.

We hope to welcome you back for another great stay soon!

Local attractions

Look to the local area for animal attractions: the Screech Owl Sanctuary (10 minutes' drive) invites visitors to see all sorts of birds being rehabilitated. There are also creatures to pet at the Camel Creek Family Adventure Park (15 minutes) – plus rides and a 5D cinema – and underwater specimens to gaze at in Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium (20 minutes). While you’re here, it would be remiss not to veer towards some of the finest surfing beaches in Cornwall: head to Watergate Bay and Fistral beach (15 minutes) with a board in tow to channel your inner Californian or just bring the kids for some sandcastle-building and paddling sessions. Nippers generally also appreciate rides on the Lappa Valley steam railway, starting from 15 minutes away and ending at the East Wheal Rose leisure area, and are pretty fond of jaunts around Newquay Zoo (15 minutes). Adults, meanwhile, tend to prefer making a beeline for places like Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm (20 minutes) for obvious reasons…
