Spectacular sunsets, smashing views, spying seals and all a mere mile and a half from Boscastle… things sound tremendous at north Cornwall's Trebyla Farm. It's on the north Cornish coast (also tremendous) and within easy walking distance of the wildlife watching and hikes of the splendid South West Coast Path. Plenty of other walks surround this peaceful place, including a mile-long meander to the several pubs, restaurants and shops of Boscastle, as well as a scenic hike along to the beach at Crackington Haven. If you want to travel by wheels, a bus stop is just outside the farm entrance. The site covers two acres on a working farm, and it's worth pointing out yet again those smashing views. On a more practical level, guests have access to a spacious wetroom on site and there's a washing-up area and facilities for ice pack freezing. For supplies, stroll 10 or 15 minutes from Trebyla to a farm shop selling fresh local produce as well as dishing up sizeable cooked breakfasts: there are over 4,000 products here, so even fussy types should see themselves sorted. Source some fuel on your travels too, to spark up a barbecue or campfire once you stagger back to base with your haul.

Great sea views, roomy spots, and super clean facilities, especially the showers. Owners are dead friendly and helpful. Perfect base for exploring the coast path and local shops. Can get a bit windy and busy at peak times though.

We only stayed for one night which is a shame as we were getting ready to go home from a week of travelling Cornwall. We have never stayed this far north in Cornwall before but throughly enjoyed it. We loved the site! It was incredibly clean, tidy and well looked after. The pitches in the EHU area were well spaced and had a beautiful view of the ocean.
The toilets and shower blocks were fantastic and cannot be faulted at all.
We have already decided to come back as soon as we can.
The owner was lovely and knowledge and happy to share any tips and tricks with us in terms of travelling around if needed.

Liked Quiet campsite with beautiful views!
Lovely clean toilets and showers. Liked the separate cubicles, didnt feel like I was showering with the rest of the campsite.
Friendly welcome and given a choice of pitches.
Perfect location for exploring along the coast.

Disliked Nothing to really dislike.
If you like a more lively site this may not be for you.
Internet/ phone signal pretty non existent, but this didnt bother me.

Liked This has got to been one of our most memorable, enjoyable holidays yet. Firstly we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who gave us a welcome leaflet with information on local beaches and walks. We then got to where we were going to set up camp the views are insanely beautiful! And sunsets to die for! Also at night the stars were amazing, haven't seen a starry night like it! loved the site so much that we stayed an extra night. During our stay we had the solar eclipse to which the lovely man who runs this site came round with welding mask glass so we could see the eclipse. The toilet facilities are lovely, clean, tidy. And to top it all off we had car troubles to which the owner came and helped! He got us back on the road, we can't thank him enough for going out of his way to help us and make our holiday so special. We will definitely be coming back again next year and staying longer!

Local attractions

One of the most famed things about Boscastle is its Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, open in Boscastle since 1960 and a popular stopoff point for tourists as well as those interested in witchcraft and the occult. The village should keep you going for a bit after a dip into the witchcraft museum, even if you just sit and stare at its scenic harbour from one of its two stone walls… If you fancy delving into a bit more history, the National Trust has a visitor centre in Boscastle's Old Smithy (and if not, there are a few interesting little shops around). The South West Coast Path is accessed from here – the walk to Arthurian Tintagel is much recommended – and those who want to stay active can source horse riding, fishing and golfing in the area too. This is of course surfing country as well, or you could stick to exploring the rockpools among the many sandy beaches around this part of coast.
