  • Handmade yurts on a small peaceful farm on the edge of Bodmin Moor
  • Secluded rewilding site with campfires and wood fired sauna
  • Walking distance from village pub, local shop and Moor walks
Cornish Yurt Holidays sits on the edge of Bodmin Moor, surrounded by gnarly oak trees and big open skies. The river Camel flows in the valley below, the moors lie behind and the views of North Cornwall stretch as far as the sea. The yurts, all made here in the workshop, lie in their own green wildness with a fire circle outside to sit around as the dusk falls. They have wood-burning stoves to ensure the units are warm and cosy, and are lit with fairy lights and candle lanterns. This small family-run farm is managed for wildilfe under a nature stewardship scheme, especially for the rare pearl-bordered fritillary butterflies. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. There are simple cooking facilities in each yurt plus a communal kitchen with fridge and freezer. All pots, pans, crocks and pots are provided, a beautiful shower and wood-fired Scandinavian style sauna is shared between the two yurts and guests have access to hammocks hanging between the trees for lazy afternoons enjoying the peace and quiet.
