This quiet, roomy campsite boasts cracking rural views and a back-to-basics feel, perfect for nature buffs and walkers with direct South Downs Way access. Campfires welcome, plus an on-site cafe. Lovely campsite in a beautiful location, basic but clean facilities.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Great location, beautiful scenery, freedom to choose own pitch, lots of space for children (and adults) to play, portaloos and water stations conveniently placed around the field, campfires allowed. South Downs Way comes past the site giving easy access to walks. Clear info from site owner.

Disliked Think its well over price You have to walk along way to your car as can't park near your pitch have to take all your rubbish home with you don't provide bins also shower Facilities are not very nice. Don't even have curtains up at the windows. Lock on door is not Secure And the shower curtains that are put into cubicles, are see through you can see the outline of your body. You get men showering and changing with the door unlocked It's not really a lock on the door it's a hatch on the inside food at the food van is overprice would not go back or Recommend.

Really nice for backpackers, pretty good for rest of us too.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Really nice and quiet campsite. In ground fires are allowed, and there is lots of wood to forage in the surrounding hills. Toilets are basic portaloos, but are cleaned regularly. It is close enough to West Wittering, Chichester, and other attractions, we enjoyed our river boating trip.
Disliked Cars must be parked off site and are only allowed on the main field for loading and unloading. We did get away with this because we had several blue badges (disabled) in our group, so we got to plug in power for our kitchen.
They need to improve the showers, it feels like a work in progress. There are 2 showers in a single large room. It seems that this could easily be 4 showers if proper partitions were put in place.

Unpowered grass tent site (backpacker, no cars)
Liked Beautiful, rustic location. I used it as the starting point for a walk across the South Downs Trail which is immediately adjacent. Has a nice little breakfast and afternoon 'feeding station'. Very peaceful and apparently you can see the sea from the top olf hill. I will definitely be going back soon. Wish I was there this week. Owners were lovely and very helpful and stayed long enough to give you a lot of helpful advice.
If your around this area I would recommend you have at least one evening meal at The CRICKETERS PUB at Duncton. The garden is just delightful.

Good value, great views, peaceful and relaxing.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The freedom to pitch anywhere, the stunning views, the wildlife around us and it felt very relaxed. Great to be able to buy logs. We didn’t visit the cafe but can see it would be a good addition. Maybe next time! Good phone signal too!
Disliked Shower block is very basic, more handwashing stations would be good as the toilets are very spaced out. Nothing major though!
