What customers say
Well-kept, quiet spot with ripper owners. Bell tents and loos are spick and span (new loos going up!). Basic facilities, sure, but most reckon it’s a cracker "back to basics" escape. Lots keen to come back, with ongoing upgrades happening.

The Four Top 1 bedroom bell tent
Liked Very welcoming hosts who are keen campers themselves and you can tell by the thoughtfulness put into the campsite. We hired one of the bell tents and it was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. It exceeded expectations! The shared kitchen area was also very well resourced.

Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site
Liked Quiet. Grass was cut with no obvious litter.
Disliked One portaloo for all campers which wasn’t particularly clean. Washing up area was just a stainless steel sink on legs with a bucket underneath and not plumbed in taps or drainage. The sink wasn’t kept clean. The water tap was located about a meter or so away from the sink. A few dirty looking plastic chairs around the bin area, not clear if these were supposed to be for guest use although one was being used to wedge shut a portaloo style cabin bearing the signage of ‘shower’. The site is located behind a boarded up five bar gate with neighbouring traveller community which all made me feel a little apprehensive with the main signage for the camping area bearing a different name to that advertised on pitch up.

Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site
Liked family friendly small campsite
host was nice and kids brought round ice cream to sell
Disliked port a loo wasn’t in the best condition but they were having a new toilet fitted when I was there so 🤞
a bit of a stretch for the ‘wild camping’ theme compared to some I have visited.
located on a fairly active road where there was a group of people shouting and screaming till gone 2am whether there’s a pub near by or other campers that wasn’t great but not the camps fault

The Two Top bell tent
Liked Booked this site last minute after deciding to head try and get an earlier train on the chunnel the following day. Clear directions and instructions, peaceful site, nice clean bell tent with linen provided and great value. Handy 40 minutes from the channel tunnel if that's your plan.
Disliked The toilets are portaloos, they were clean enough however.

Friendly staff
Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site
Liked Pre pitched options & glamping kitchen equipped with useful items. Nearest town/village was lovely - Headcorn. New toilets being built.
Disliked Porta loos & shower. No hot water for washing up & not much space for putting items down near the taps/washing up sinks. Lumps in the ground, uncompfy if you are sleeping on a thin mat. Told Camber sands was 35 mins away not 50 mins.
