Shady spots and sunny spots for you sun lovers

  • Dog-friendly pop-up site in a spacious four-acre field
  • A 10-minute drive from beaches and 15 minutes from Milford on Sea
  • A 10-minute walk from a microbrewery, spa, vegan café and restaurant
Whether you’re paddleboarding on local beaches, pursuing outdoor activities in the New Forest or mooching around the nearby towns, there’s a great balance between civilisation and peaceful countryside at In Nature Camping in Dorset. Under a mile from the edge of the New Forest National Park and 10 minutes’ drive away from beaches, there’s lots on the agenda here: days at the beach, visits to nearby historic towns and properties, shopping or even chilling with a spa treatment at the venue a short walk away. Also within 10 minutes' walk of the site is a vegan café and a restaurant. There’s a microbrewery 10 minutes' walk away, which serves drinks like small-cask beer, handcrafted ales and ‘unfined’ beer. A five-minute drive away, there’s another café with pick-your-own farm produce activities - how lovely. The closest beaches for strolls, snoozes, swimming and the likes are Avon beach (10 minutes), Highcliffe beach (10 minutes) Barton-on-sea beach (10 minutes). As for interesting local towns with shops and cafés, make your way to Highcliffe (five minutes), Christchurch (10 minutes), New Milton (five minutes) and Milford on Sea (15 minutes). The main road from Lyndhurst to the coast runs just a short distance from the field, making it nice and easy to access local attractions. What about the place you’ll be calling home for your Dorset holiday? Off-grid, it’s very much a wildlife haven. Try your hand at self-sufficiency (barbecues and firepits are allowed, weather conditions permitting) or grab your meals locally. There are four hot showers, six toilets and two washing-up sinks for those of you who decide to dust off the old camp stove and try cooking under the stars.

Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site

Liked Great location! Everybody was good at following and being respectful of the campsite rules

Disliked I did think £35 for a tiny 2 person tent was steep for a field

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Well that’s funny because it’s £25 again you are the lady that booked a campervan trying to convince me it’s a tent what a joke

Unpowered grass and earth tent site

Liked Absolutely loved this camp.
Jeremy was so kind and allowed us to leave our trailer tent for the rest of day so we could make use of the day still.
Toilets were great and kept very clean.
Showers were amazing very hot.
All in all was absolutely perfect.
We definitely will be back.

Disliked We didnt dislike anything here.
Just wish we didnt have to leave.

Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site

Liked This campsite is great if you're into super relaxed vibes in a festival type field, as opposed to other New forest campsites where you're hidden between trees. I really appreciated the little touches; warm simple shower setup (body wash included!), super clean porta-loos, flowers at the dishwash station, someone to welcome you and pizza for dinner! Alongside being allowed to get on with it.

Disliked The downside, which is completely my own fault unfortunately you can't walk straight out on to any trails, so I had to completely pack up and lost my campervan spot. There also isn't much by way of pubs etc that are a walkaway (other than the brewery which I went to and was cute for a brief stop), unless your happy walking on the road.
I took my dog with me and he had a great time, but again I was limited with respect to areas where he could be let off lead nearby (not the campsites fault).
Seemed to be popular with all sorts including lots of people with kids. I felt safe as a solo female camper.

Ready tent

Liked Lovely site, lots of space. Good location to visit lots of local places. Great pre pitched tents, clean and well spaced. Lovely showers but get in early. Friendly helpful staff. Good for kids and dogs.

Disliked Could do with extra washing up sinks and lights in the loos at night.

Ready tent

Liked We booked one of the ready-pitched tents which are spacious clean, and just really nice tents - saved us a lot of faff pitching and taking down a tent for just one night.

The toilets were spotless and the sink area well organised and pleasant to use - it even had a vase of flowers!

Jeremy was very welcoming when we arrived, and had some good tips about getting food in the area.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site

Liked Good level pitches

Disliked Only 2 female portaloos, which got easily clogged up. Onsite manager always watching, we felt uneasy at this level of intrusion.on small site. Told not to use BBQ as fire risk, other campers had BBQs and then we were allowed disposable as long as off the floor. Inconsistent instructions! Our BBQ was charcoal - we were not having a camp fire, so weren't able to cook food despite leaflets and website saying BBQs were ok. Charged extra £10 for having a campervan (no tent) on the grass. Vehicle no different from cars. Much better sites for the cost of this one, so i will go back to them next time. Also friends were harassed because their kids were playing, they did go in shower once and managers campsite friends told them off, fair enough, but manager had targeted us. Manager will write comment that we were trouble to show us at fault, but this is not the case.

Local attractions

Work your way outwards, starting with the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum (five minutes’ drive) and the Romantic-style Highcliffe Castle (five minutes). The beach has access to the beach and a nature reserve, but for more cool habitats and wild animals, Hengistbury Head (20 minutes) should also be on your radar. Milford on Sea (15 minutes) is also just over the way. There, you’ll certainly get your watersports fix. There are ferries to Hurst Castle, an artillery fort at sea with links to the formidable Henry VIII. Further along the coast is the sailing hub of Lymington (20 minutes). To the north, your New Forest adventures might include the Go Ape course and cycling trails in the Moors Valley Country Park & Forest (half an hour). To the south, perhaps a big day out in Bournemouth (25 minutes), where surfing, kayaking and cycles on the prom might keep you occupied?
