  • Peaceful family-run farm site with views over the Cheviot Hills
  • A 10-minute drive to Northumberland National Park; coast not far away
  • Five minutes’ drive away from Wooler for small shops and a milk bar
From the dark skies and cool cycling landscapes of the Northumberland National Park to the Northumberland coast’s castles, boat trips and sandy patches, Cheviot View Campsite doesn’t overcomplicate activities in Northumberland, You see, this peaceful family-run farm site is 10 minutes’ drive away from the national park and 20 minutes from the closest coastal spots including Berwick-upon-Tweed. With views over the Cheviot Hills, the site is on a rural hillside. The site's cows graze on the slopes and their milk is used for ice cream and cheese that you may want to sample at the Doddington Dairy Milk Bar, five minutes’ drive away in Wooler. Just three miles away from the A697 on the B6525, you’ll be halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh, but it’s likely one of the main attractions here will be the national park, classed an International Dark Sky Park due to its low light pollution and crazy stargazing-worthy skies. While this is a peaceful patch with simple facilities including a toilet block, tourist hotspots are within cycling and driving distance of the site. Wooler, five minutes’ drive away, has some small shops for those essential supplies and breakfast, lunches and ice creams are available at the milk bar.
