What customers say

Top spot! Clean, peaceful, great facilities, friendly staff and a cracking pub. Spacious pitches, ideal for exploring. A few minor shower/Wi-Fi niggles, but most rave about it and are coming back.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site

Liked Everything, couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for 4 nights and asked if we could stay longer but unfortunately the touring site closed on our departure day until March 2026

Disliked Shower enclosure a bit small but managed.

Camping pod

Liked Lovely little place, small and cosy. Great for a night away or too.

Disliked When we went to the pub on site, the locals were served before us despite being there before them. I found that quite rude.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site

Liked Very good central location for Harrogate, Knaresborough and Wetherby with pleasant countryside walking near the site, lovely food at the on-site bar, only 6 touring pitches but all fully serviced, a very friendly and quiet site , would recommend

Disliked This is not a dislike, but would recommend travelling to the site with a caravan or motorhome via the A61 and not through Wetherby as the roads are quite narrow and some of the villages can be restricted due to parked cars.

Local attractions

Once you’ve ticked off trips to the independent shops of Harrogate, the Jorvik Viking Centre in York and the Royal Armouries houses in Leeds, it’s easy to get deep into the countryside as it's about a 30-minute drive to the Yorkshire Dales National Park in one direction and 50 to the North York Moors National Park in another. To blend a bit of history into days out in scenic surrounds, well-preserved old manors with pristine gardens are all around, including Harewood House (10 minutes’ drive) and Ripley Castle (30 minutes). Soap opera fan? A visit to Harewood’s estate is also your chance to tour the studios and setting of Emmerdale (just make sure to book in advance). If you're in the company of nippers, they may instead prefer to be taken to the treetop trails, enchanted forest and adventure playgrounds at Stockeld Park (10 minutes).
