What customers say
This popular biker spot boasts a buzzing cafe/bar and ample space. While facilities can be a bit dated and train noise is noted, many dig the value and vibe, coming back often. Bike shows are a big draw. Watch out for the occasional sewage smell and cleanliness hiccups in spots.

A nice enough place for one night. I don’t think I’d stay any longer
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Big camping field with lots of space. Convenient for where we needed to be.
Disliked The toilets and showers were a bit tired. Flood lights from the car park were rather bright. Could only find one tap and it was a long way from where we pitched.

Liked Loved our stay. Friiendly attentive staff first an foremost. Really nice open space. Lots of room for kids to play during the day. It was clean and quite quiet no late night parties from the people in the tents or other caravans. Facilities were decent better than most tbh. It was superb pricing please dont ever change keep getting better!! The site is enough away that you dont here the bikers engines but close enough to go down check them out at the cafe/restaurant.
Disliked That we couldnt stay longer.

Overall a good site let down by facilities.
Power optional concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Staff were very good in the cafe and opening of the site gate.
Good location for being immersed in bikes.
Disliked Inadequate toilet. Showers and washbasin. When the site is full with campervans, caravans and tents it would not cope.
Other reviews have said the same, I was sceptical reading them, but now agree 100%.
Looking at the licencing for campsites, it varies per local authority. This passage taken from the advisory for setting up a campsite appears to be pretty consistent.
Toilets should be adequately spaced. For sites with up to 120 pitches, there should be 2 toilet facilities for women, 1 toilet facility and 1 urinal for men, per 30 pitches. Depending on your local council regulations, you may be required to provide these facilities per 20 or even 10 pitches.
Adequate provision of wash hand basins must also be made, 2 for women and 2 for men. These should have enough hot and cold water with the supply situated close to the toilets.
With the 75 electric pitches full it wouldn't take many tents to go over this.
The tent field is huge.
This hS the potential to be a superb site, let down by toilrt facilities.
There is also only 1 water tap for the whole field I was in. This would be an easy fix, a tap at each end of the field to supplement the existing one would be much better.
I had my own facilities in my van so none of this affected me.
Would i stay again?
In my van yes
In my tent with my bike, despite loving the cafe and atmosphere, I go at least once a week.
The answer would have to be NO only due to lack of facilities

Over priced, over rated, under maintained. I do not recommend it.
Power optional concrete and grass caravan site
Liked great for the motorcyles if you like that sort of thing, I do. Great fir the food in the cafe.
Disliked Horrendous shower and toilet block that didn't look like it had been cleaned in forever!!
Site looked more like a travelers site littered with old, often scruffy looking, caravans. People riding up and down on motorcycles with no helmets, and an e-bike or two with no lights

A bit rough and ready but cheap!
Motorcycle and tent only unpowered grass tent site (no cars)
Liked Squires is a popular bikers' café/bar and the clientele reflects this - if you're looking for a chat about bikes and similar, the rest of the customers will happily include you. The site is easy to find and only a few minutes from the A1 and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food available is pub-grub and there's a wide selection of options, also various snacks, cakes and pastries on the bar. The camping pitches are behind the café building so away from the comings and goings of other visitors.
The site has the facilities you'd want, including showers, washrooms and toilets, and even a bike accessories shop. According to the various posters showing around the place, there is often entertainment provided at the weekend but not during my stay.
Disliked Two drawbacks that you don't necessarily notice on arrival but definitely detract from the experience:
First, there's a train track just behind the hedge that runs along the side of the camping field. Trains pass every 30 minutes or so and sound their horns, which creates some disturbance. Later in the evening, this seems to stop and you think your sleep will be undisturbed but at 5.30 the next morning, to find that the trains reappeared! Take earplugs!
Secondly, as I arrived, I got talking to my "camper next door" and we ended up sharing a few drinks. Both of us were surprised when we returned to our tents later to notice an appalling smell of sewage. It hadn't been there when we pitched our tents but it stayed for the next two days. (Now, this might have been a result of the long drought affecting the sewer systems at the time, as I noticed during my rides around that most of South Yorkshire seemed to have acquired an unpleasant smell, so maybe this was a temporary problem.)
Oh, and finally, no wi-fi available
