What customers say
Top-notch, chill adults-only spot. Revellers rave about the ample, flat spots, spick-and-span amenities, and gorgeous country views. Great for dog walks with loads of wildlife (alpacas too!). Owners are legend, super helpful with local tips. Peaceful vibes near Pickering are a big win.

Would definitely recommend.
Power optional concrete and grass motorhome site (no awning)
Liked Absolutely perfectly manicured grounds, great to see how much effort towards nature too.
Walking around there is a lot of nature to see if you take the time to keep still and look, deer, squirrel, barn owl among many to see. Walk along the river showed many large fish, not sure what they were though.
Disliked Would have liked to have the washing up water a little bit more towards the hot side, Luke warm makes cleaning up the bbq kit a little bit of a chore.
This may seem a little critical but it is important in my book.
Bus stop approx one mile from site, took taxi to Pickering to get bus was best option, taxi was around £7.50 each way.

Liked Impeccably presented site, spotlessly clean facilities, well maintained grounds and a super friendly welcome.
The grounds are really well looked after with regular mowing and features specimen trees and pretty shrubs. The pitches are separated by hedging for privacy. This is a quiet site a mile down a lane from the town.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site (premium)
Liked Really enjoyed our stay, this was our third stay and just as enjoyable as the first. The pitches are very spacious and well set out, also the site is lovely and well maintained as is the shower block. Looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent site, good location with friendly staff
Power optional concrete and grass motorhome site (no awning)
Liked Great pitches, very well maintained with hedges separating the pitches. Picnic benches on every pitch. Everything very clean and tidy. This is a very well laid out site and we were in a small back section of 4 pitches which suited us perfectly.
The staff are very friendly and informative.
Nice walk along the lane to get in to Pickering, took us 35mins to get to the centre
Disliked Limited showers, only one in each although nice and warm. Don’t have to wait too long to be fair but may be a problem if timing was wrong?

From the manager: Thanks for your review Mark
Interestingly you rate us 9/10 value for money ... we have 23 pitches only in beautifully landscaped grounds totalling nearly 3 acres. Caravan site operator's licensing allows upto 30 units per acre and therefore we could fill the park with 90 pitches but we choose to (at great cost to us) only have 25 pitches so everybody enjoys large pitches with great views and meticulously maintained open areas. You can pay a lot more for some campsites locally that are more akin to a car park!
Also, to set the record straight. we have 5 showers in 2 separate buildings. The new shower units opened in May costing £25,000 and showers are not obligatory for campsites with fewer than 70 pitches. According to standard UK campsite licensing guidelines, showers are only required to be installed once a site exceeds this threshold. For campsites that do provide showers, the standard licensing standard is 1 shower per 25 pitches
5 showers per 25 pitches therefore is incredibly generous and again provided at significant cost. Our 2 amenity blocks cost over £100k to build and , as above, we are not obliged to provide any
