  • Adult-only pitches on a peaceful smallholding with a wooded area
  • A 15-minute drive to Beverley, 20 from Hull and 25 to Bridlington
  • Eggs, fruit, meat for sale on site; firewood provided by the owners
Farm days and secluded stays? West Field Farm Camping is a well-maintained adults-only site on a smallholding with a small wooded area, in remote location but within easy reach of urban and seaside days: Beverley is 15 minutes' drive form here, Hull is 20 and the coast at Bridlington within 25. There's loads to do in this East Yorkshire setting, such as fossil hunting at the pebbly and sandy shores of Mappleton 15 minutes’ drive away, or driving 20 minutes west to rifle the racks at the discount shops of Hornsea Freeport. Burton Constable Hall & Grounds, an Elizabethan country house with a busy events schedule, is 10 minutes from the farm. Back at base, there's a designated area for gathering around the campfire, with wood provided by the friendly owners as well as home-reared meats like bacon, burgers, steak and chops for sale. Within the shop, guests are free to use the designated fridge, microwave and hairdryer. There's plenty of space around the grassy grounds for lazing about too, and options to pick your own fruit in season at the big garden or collect eggs laid by the hens.

What customers say

Top-notch, chill farm stay with friendly hosts and clean, basic amenities. Enjoy fire pits and farm critters. Great for nature buffs and exploring, though a wheelbarrow might be handy for pitches and directions were tricky for some.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked It is the first time we have been camping (that wasn’t at a festival) and we loved every second of it. The campsite was lovely and quiet and had a warm atmosphere to it. We loved that they provided campfire pits and wood for free for you to use. The toilet and shower were kept in good condition and even though there was only one of each for the campsite, as the site is small, there was never a queue. We have been truly spoilt by this campsite as our first one and we’re looking to go camping again next month and can’t seem to find a campsite that we think we will like as much as this one.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Excellent location for us. Very easy to find and beautifully peaceful.
Only 3 pitches available on a large field so no close neighbours and our second night we had the site to ourselves.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Cracking little site in the middle of a farm. Met at the gate by the owner. A very basic site but a clean and tidy toilet (compost) and shower. Other than the sights, sounds and smells of the farmyard it was a very peacefull night.

Disliked There is a main road next to the site but this is soon forgotten. Other than that to dislike, nothing. No wifi

Liked Everything! This campsite is absolutely perfect, it’s so peaceful and cut to perfection!
It’s a small holding farm, there is some cows, pigs, 2 horses and 2 sheep one of them is very friendly.😂
Has a toilet, shower and a hot and cold outdoor tap, fire pits are available to us and wood is available.
You park your car in the little car park and can use the wheelbarrow to take your stuff down to the pitch.
There is 2 pubs within walking distance- one is about a 10-15 minute walk along the main road and past some houses. The other one you can walk though the farmers garden and out the other side is a micro pub.
The farmer and the 2 lady’s we seen when staying were so very friendly❤️
Honestly one of the best campsites we have ever been to and we have definitely been to a few!
There was 2 caravans on the site and if I am right in thinking I am sure that you can also hire them for a stay. They looked very cosy.
Thankyou again for an amazing and peaceful stay.

Local attractions

Hull’s 20 minutes away from the park if you’d like some city living to balance out countryside roams; sights to see here include the mighty Humber Bridge towering over the estuary, The Deep aquarium and sealife complex (set in a structure built to look like a ship) and the European paintings at the Ferens Art Gallery. The area around Hull has masses of history too: check it out at Elizabethan manors like the Burton Agnes Hall Elizabethan manor (25 minutes away from the site), the Grade I listed Sewerby Hall and Gardens (35 minutes) with its 50 acres of gardens and the Georgian-era Sledmere House (35 minutes). Go coastal instead at the seaside town of Bridlington with a harbour dating back to before Roman times (25 minutes); the RSPB Bempton Cliffs Seabird Centre are just outside here (about 40 minutes from the park) for busting out the binoculars in the hopes of spotting northern gannets, Atlantic puffins and razorbills.
